I started a topic like this on a forum I used to be a member of, and wanted to see what responses I would get from the escapist.

I myself know English, some German, and some Latin.
I can speak a few very basic sentances in French and Spanish.

Fluently: English, Swiss-German, and German
Taken: French and Spanish
Should really learn: Cantonese

I'm taking a German class right now to improve on it, since I mostly speak Swiss-German, which is quite a bit different.

English and American Southern English . . . know and understand a decent amount of Spanish and Russian (still learning, though).

I speak only one of those and can you guess which one based on how unnecessarily complicated and convoluted(sic) this sentence is getting?
Seriously though, I can barely keep track of one language so I only know English. I know random sentences that would never help in real life in Spanish. I knew how to say that "there is a cat wearing a pair of pants" in Spanish. What?! I got bored in Spanish class, so I looked up and translated those words properly for a laugh.

English, Latin, and working on Italian. The latter should be easier with knowledge of Latin I would think.

I speak English fluently, Russian jerkily and a little Spanish. However, my Spanish is rusty as hell since I haven't lived in a Hispanic community for the past ten years and the extent of Spanish in my current home town is barely pronouncing Jalapeño correctly, and only after extensive aggressive shock treatment.

A slightly southern form of English, more so when I get tired to the amusement of my friends.
I had 3 years of French in high school but it is forgotten.

Russian to novels and newspapers and conversation level, French to newspaper level, and a myriad of other languages I know bits and pieces of.

Oh, and I'm English. So, that.
