What languages do you speak?

Statistically, this has probably come up about a billion times, but I'm sort of curious as to the language breakdown here on The Escapist. Any polyglots around? And, since I expect Europeans to dominate this thread, where are you from?

I'm a Canadian speaking English, pretty good French, and some Mandarin Chinese.

I was about to say that as a BBC, it should be obvious what languages I speak, though I'm shocked by how many there are that don't speak Chinese of one persuasion or another...

I recognize certain kanji combinations. I understand some Romanji.

I come from two bilingual parents (Dad speaks Spanish and English, mom speaks Vietnamese and English). I speak English...maybe a little Spanish, almost no Vietnamese, and a little Japanese (I work in Japan). I'm quite embarrassed about that actually.

Just out out of curiosity what do you mean when you are a BBC? I don't want to sound rude but I just can't work out what you mean.

On Topic: Sadly I only know English well enough to speak, I mean I know just enough French to tell people that I can't speak French. I did spend three years in school learning Ancient Greek but I wasn't any good at it and now I can barely remember it's alphabet, although I keep meaning to take it up again.

Ah, no sweat, it's one of those acronyms known only to native English speakers with Chinese acquaintances. *BC = [insert appropriate nationality] born Chinese, the most common being ABC (American/Australian) and BBC (British).
