I like it. Very succinct and, in my opinion, true.EvilEngineNumberNine said:A hero is someone who can set aside that which is important and dear to them in order to do what is necessary to preserve a future for humanity in which heroes are only remembered, and not needed. A hero's job is to make himself obsolete.

The chances are, he was talking about fighting crime, feeding the hungry, spreading democracy, and all that jazz. Heroes are obviously acclaimed as such based on the moral code of their culture. Like I said, terrorists and freedom fighters. Dude, this is really basic stuff.Anarchemitis said:But can you define "better"? What is good? That doesn't sound too hard but there's very few that can verify to be a hero according to my statement.

terrorist and freedom fighters are a bad exemple... The Terrorist think they are doing the right thing same thing for "freedom fighters".
I think this is a quote from George Carlin (unrelated to topic): "Firefighters fights fire, Crimefighters fights crime, Freedomfighters fights what?"
As my favorite hero type: the guy who didnt plan to be the hero he was kinda forced to do it.
Yeh, it's one of the quotes you see when you die. I forget who said it though... Maybe I need to go back to playing COD4.Crap_haT said:Recognise quote, but where from? COD4?Ruffythepirate said:A hero isn't braver than everyone else. A hero is just brave for 5 minutes longer.
