Not trying to start anything, but I just can't for the life of me figure out a way how PC controls are better than console controls (as I've been told by PC gamers.) So how is it better?

Edit: Please try to hold back on the PC elitism.

Some people prefer Mouse/Keyboard, others prefer Controllers. Its just preference, not superiority.

As a mainly console gamer, the mouse is far better than the analog stick. Quicker, more accurate control. But the movement stick has a better level of finesse than WASD, in my opinion.

Other than that, they really aren't any better. At least with a controller, you know for certain where all the God-damn buttons are.
Thats what I complain about. Whenever I play a PC game, the controls are scattered all over the keyboard. It's worse in RPGs when every different item gets its own key.

For shooter games, mouse offers far better precision. For RPGs it's often a good idea for the extra keybindings you can use for various spells/skills/items. Also, Strategy games of all kinds are better played with a mouse.

However, many games that don't involve constant aiming are better suited to the controller. From fighting games, to driving games to action adventure games.

Which is funny, Since I'm infinitely better at aiming on a console than my PC.
Oh, you're not better at aiming on the console. It's the console which does the aiming for you. Most (if not all) console shooters use massive amounts of aim assist and auto-aim to compensate for the shortcomings of the controler.

Then customised them to what or to what you remember. I prefer the complicated nature of a keyboard, games which i prefer to play (RTS and RPGs) use them to maximum effect. I dare you to tell me Dragon Age was easier on controller than on PC. I dare you to tell me any console RTS is better than a PC RTS.

A mouse is smoother and can be custimised (with weights) to fit how you move and how you play. Its cleaner and more accurate than a stick and combined with WASD, if allows you to quickly rotate and still maintain maximum accuracy.

Yep, pretty much. Though a good game will allow you to customize which of the base keys to use.

Then there is the whole thing about PCs widely supporting various controllers. I don't recall seeing too many console games that support the keyboard equivalent, though maybe the option exists.

We have mouse and keyboard which allows for much faster and accurate aiming in FPS. Also quick keys and mouse make things much easier for RTS.
Yeah, RTSs should never be made for consoles.
OT: FPS work so much better on PC.

That's what I was going to say. Damn you.

Its more about preference. Although RTS games are so much easier to use on PC than console.
Also you can customize your key binds a bit better I guess.
