Glitching to gain an unfair advantage, then yell in the mic about how awesome they're 'pwning'...

I noob is not just someone who sucks, they are someone who doesn't even know they suck. They blame the game, they blame cheaters, they blame everything except admitting that they have only played through a bit of the single player on easy mode so they have developed literally no skill to compete online.

Noobs don't get that it is a game with challenge and competition, and expect the kills to just roll in, basically "casual" gamers. They treat online like a toy rather than a competitive game.

The other noobs like novices trying hard to get into a new game that has lots of hardcore players is the better type and always the type I try to be. At best try to be helpful, become a medic (there are never enough) or shadow a skilled player on your team.

Bitching when you lose, or hacking. Simple.

Oh sorry, I meant using silencer and UAV Jammer, noobynaut, or double tap on the P90. That's what I meant...
I know not of noobynaut, only of Juggernoob.

This lol. Them being a 12 year old with a mic good enough to record a bomb going off next to them while managing to provide ample static and high-pitched pubescence.

Noobs in FFXI have a history of being very polite. As in starting questions with "Excuse me, I am new here and am somewhat lost. Can someone help me out for a moment?".

Well, you also get the nobs who shout "How the Fuck do I do this?" or something, but they are normally rare, and when you get to the more advanced cities (e.g. Jeuno, or Whitegate) there is absolutely none of that.

There is no one single thing that makes a person a noob. It's just the way they play. You can tell by the movements they use, how they go about it. Plus the way they talk.
You just have to play the game for a while to learn the signs of a noob.

Indeed, plus I use an MP5 with a silencer, UAV jammer and dead silence.
That's my 'Ninja' class, and I pee in everyone's butt hole with it.
I say the real noobs are the guys who hide in rooms with auto shotties, or the dudes who the P90 with steady aim. That gun with that perk is super broken, able to get a head shot from across the map.
-_-
But never call a skilled player a noob just because he uses a silencer. It's not our fault people don't cover their own asses.

People who join a team based game, upon discovering that they are losing attempt to "rally the troops" and start giving orders that quickly degenerate into name calling and pointing out the (usually shared) shortcomings of the other players.
