Yeh London can be... not all that fun sometimes :S
What's to see? The London eye is a ferris wheel, Big Ben is a bell (literally), tate modern is full of reprenstational art (in other words and to put it nicely, shite) and the Queen lives in a council house technically. Big woop!

I believe I've developed a ranting problem.

The place where I live has an old fashioned classroom set up inside an abandoned copper mine.

Well, technically I live in Houghton (Michigan) and that's in Hancock but they're basically the same city. They're just on oposite shores of a very river-like lake.

You could also come if you're into nature or snow (we'll have plenty in a couple months).

Where I live there is a vandal that adds a level of charm to the town. He is constantly changing "no turn on red" signs to "no turn on fred" and changing gaylor avenue to gaylord avenue. His best work is a sign some hippie put up that says "war is not the answer" underneath which he wrote "wait, what was the question?"
There's a guy called banksey [http://www.banksy.co.uk/] who frequents Bristol. Some of his works are quite funny.

I won't say where I live, if you can't figure it out you must never have heard of Wikipedia or Google...

Largest mall in the world, 1981-2004.
Largest mall parking lot in the world, 1981-present.
Most fanatic hockey fans 1979-present.
Calgary's most hated enemy.
Winter 6 months of the year or more, with temperatures below 40c.
1,081,300 people, and less than 100 know how to drive properly.

Let me guess....Minnesota? I'm not hockey savvy enough to know if they have a team that is the bane of Calgary, but I do know they have the largest mall in the world.

Wow, it's nice to know there's a fellow Scot on here :) Come to Glasgow! Not exactly the most beautiful city in the world, but it's now one of only three cities in Europe that have been granted the status of 'City Of Music' and holds, on average over 1500 gigs per week. In addition, it's also been voted best city in Scotland for young people and it has Irn Bru (much like the rest of Scotland, but I'm pretty sure we drink more of it here than anywhere else on the planet.)

Come to Scotland! It's awesome!

I live in Las Vegas, NV. Talk about original. The town is dominated by some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world. If you haven't been to Las Vegas yet, you need to come. There is nothing else quite like it. There are towns that have built casinos ever since many states started letting "native" Americans own them, but none of them compare to the ones in Vegas. There's lots to do besides gamble too. I hardly ever gamble, but I find fun things to do every weekend (besides play video games).

I live in the state of South Carolina in the U.S. One of the original thirteen colonies, lots of history, etc. It also happens to be the first state to separate from the Union during the Civil War (not something really to be proud of, but there you go).

My location is in the urban sprawl stemming from the state's capital, Columbia. My town is called Lexington, and I live five mintues from West Columbia, towards the state's major University, USC. So, the environment surrounding is actually very beautiful. One thing I love about the South as opposed to other places I've lived or visited (Kansas, Boston, etc.) is the presence of nature surrounding the otherwise modern city-scape. There's miles of woodlands in one direction, rivers, creeks, lakes, several bodies of water, forests, animals, etc. And then as you move towards the capital, the towns themselves are almost growing out of it, trees surround neighbourhoods, grocery stores have woods behind and beside them, the local shopping mall is pretty much in a valley. And then the capital is probably the only cultural haven for miles around, so I'm very lucky to be where I am.

Usually you hear about the south in reference to rednecks, bigots, and morons. However where I live has a rather multicultural feel to it. There's actually a rather large Korean community near the capital, there's a big gay pride parade (hosted by Ru Paul no less)occuring soon and a generally accepted and out there homosexual community around, a huge indie rock and music scene rooted in the city (a local venue New Brookland Tavern is like our version of CB/GB's except its still open and twice as grungy). Its not hard to get to know people around here, and while there's a relative "big city" feel to it, its more like low buildings spread for a long way with lots of scenery in between and plenty of southern charm and hospitality in between.

And while you may have the occasional backwoods person from time to time, the large majority of people here are accepting, cultured, and friendly. It's a great place to live, and I wouldn't mind spending a large portion of my life or settling down here despite being a traverl most of my life.

I live in Sunderland, England so lets see the North East...

Well we have the cleanest beaches in Europe. Probably because nobody gets to use them because it's bloody raining constantly.

Home to two of the biggest football stadiums in the country, the Stadium of Light and St. James' Park within 20 minutes Metro of each other. If you ever do visit this area I recommend taking in a Sunderland home match. Nothing like that atmosphere.

Love the nightlife in this area. Newcastle is good but can't beat Sunderland for a night out. Cheap booze, mostly friendly people and women in skirts that should really be classed as belts.

One of the most lively underground music scenes in England is in the North East. For metal especially. Some great local bands up here like Five Ways of Asphyxiation, Uncerta, Kill Your Own and Risen Prophecy (probably won't have heard of any of them but trust me they're all top notch).

Well that's what you get for being at the forefront of technology. Try feeding them mustard. As it is, I rely on word of mouth for my internet connection, in Norfolk it works quicker than ADSL. As far as a reason to visit Norfolk is concerned, I'd like to promote my place of residence, the Fat Cat. A Public House with around 40 draught beers, and 80 bottled beers, and the first pub to be awarded the best pub in Britain twice. If any Escapist member wants to visit, ask for Scottish Chris, and I promise I'll find you a beverage that blows your mind.

I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
And that is original, for the first hour *ba-dum-tish*

I live in Calgary. We have the stampede, the tower, a bunch of bloody painted cows around town, a hockey team with the best goalie in the league, and C.O.P and the Olympic Oval where the Olympic games were held in '88. There might be more, but I've been here so long it seems kinda passe now.
