A main character with a 3o'clock shave, who smokes and has a voice as if he's been gargling nails. As well as fights that go down to the wire but you still win. By a thread. Also being a badass cop is, well badass.

Playing Crysis. Sneaking up behind a group of 3, punching 2 of them in the face and picking up the third by his throat, and then taking him to a house and throwing him straight through it.

Also, from what I've played of APB, there are moments you feel like a complete badass. Me and 2 people were being chased by a fucking Enforcer truck through a sewer system thing whilst we were in an SUV, the chase was funny as fuck and we eventually just blew up. I didn't even care, it was ridiculously fun.

When I get 23 kills in a game of League of Legends using a character that most people think can't kill people.

2: making all the guys in the squad jealous cause I be getting busy all the ladytypes
3: blowing up destroyable environments
4: getting the killing blow moves on like dragons.......those are cool (dragon age)

On any game which involves a stealth element, taking down an entire group/platoon/room-full of enemies without being caught or spotted once. (I'm looking at you, Splinter Cell/Batman: AA)

The only time in a game when i've felt moderately badass, is when I hear the sound of the Dragunov or the FAL in Modern Warfare 2. Although, come to think of it, it's more like I think that the gun sound is badass, rather than me being badass.

Grabbing a tank. And then throwing said tank. At a simple soldier. Who's calling an airstrike.
Prototype? The whole game carries that badass feeling; it's great! (The feeling, anyway. The game, not so much)

Running across the 'Crash' map on CoD4, killing everything hostile in sight, after a killstreak of 12, I die in front of 5 enemy soldiers and drop a Martyrdom grenade. Then I yell my signature 'BOOM!'.

Awesomeness.

Doing anything that looks really difficult, even if it isn't :3

Like playing a bullet hell game or getting a massive combo in Rock Band.

FPS: Clearing a room of bad guys with a pistol. Anyone can spray lead with a minigun but it takes skill to take them all out with a semi-automatic pistol. At the end of the day, that is more exhilarating than running around with an assault rifle.

RPG: After a long, uncertain battle taking down the final boss. That is, taking on a badass final boss with an underleveled team and still winning. That feels awesome.

Puzzles: Beating the puzzle in the last 2 seconds.

Indeed, game is mediocre from time to time (Looking at you, stupid infection cancer power absorbing piece of filth) but just those moments of pure badassery make up for it completely <3!

the first one I can think of now is when I nightgibbed at a Cybercafé last week and we were playing MW2 and I had just killed an enemy (we were playing FFA) and as I reload I see something in the corner of my eye and turn around throw a throwing knife, that hit straight between the eyes of somebody trying to sneak up on me.

Finally defeating that boss character in an RPG with only one person left alive in your party.
edit. That boss character was Bahamut from FF4 with only Cecil and Rosa left alive at the end.

Rapid headshots. My brother and I were playing Unreal 2k4 once, and I covered him while he made a flag run, my rifle and I were one, and all he could do was "daaaaaaaaaaaaamn!" at the way heads were popping all around him. Doesn't always go so smoothly, but when it does it's pretty badass.

Playing Legacy of Kain as the vampire dude. I felt badass to be able to drain the life (literally) out of anyone. THe artistic style lent itself to giving Kain a real superiority over her victims.

Crysis Warhead. Seriously, cloaking behind an enemy then turning on speed and running around, shooting him and his buddies with your dual-SMG-things is a brand new kind of fun.

Hanging from a gargoyle, grabbing thugs, or exacting justice with my Bat Fists!
Whoosh, there goes a Batarang!
Yeah, Arkham Asylum was way too much fun....
