I'm 20 years old.

A few days ago, I offered to give my friends little brother all the episodes of Dragonball Z I had accumulated. Simply assuming that all kids would naturally be exposed to stuff like DBZ and Pokemon, I said "Hey buddy, I've got all these episodes of this really cool cartoon you would like if you want them. You know Dragonball Z right?"

He looked at me like I'd just offered him a full colostomy bag.

"What's that show?"

So, what are some instances that have made you realise your age? Even if you didnt want to?

Whenever I realise that the new millenium was 11 years ago, and I'm only 16.
Sadly, I remember that I watched all of DragonBall Z, but can't remember anything but the main bad guys.

Well I'll turn 20 in 1 month and 2 days and were I live you don't get the normal congratulations but everyone just tells you: "Hey guess what! You're half way to 40 now!". Everyone does it and it is kinda funny even if it might make one feel a bit older.

Every time some junior at work remarks on the "old" mix of music playing.

I look after the cafe ipod, and I try to keep a nice mix of easy listening stuff on there.

And the Corrs are not old!

I felt old when Toy Story 3 came out, I remember watching the first two when they came out. I then felt old when I realized the film's current target audience besides people my age wouldn't even have heard of it. I'm 17.

My friend has a little kid who he brought over once. He went off to play in my mum's room while we sat around being what I'm sure was unspeakably boring to him. Maybe ten minutes later he comes out, his eyes the size of dinner plates, and starts tugging on his dad's sleeve excitedly.

"Dad", he says animatedly. "Dad, you HAVE to see this, I found these black CDs and they were like THIS BIG."

He was talking about my mum's vinyl records. I felt pretty old right about then.
Which I guess is kind of a dick move, seeing as I'm eighteen.

I'm 28. Feel the same way. I also remembered thinking...my god all these stupid kids, they dont really get it. Yet.

I also feel old when I think that its more than a decade since the new millenium...or when I play something classic, like Diablo 2 and think about when I bought it the first time.

I feel old a lot. Being old sucks. In the words of alphaville, I want to be forever young.

When I see a toy ad on tv and think "Toys were better in my day". I'm only 16, toys haven't even changed that much since 'my day'!

I'm seventeen and I feel old sometimes. Simply looking back at things, watching new kids movies (Megamind is really good) or thinking about ye olden PSone games I used to play. Oh and I recently played the original Red Faction again. Way ahead of it's time. Great game but it made me feel ancient.

Whenever I talk to one of my older brothers, both of whom are married and have kids. I realize that the younger of the two is just four years older than me and has been married for three years. I don't get sad, but I do reflect on just how different our lives have been.

I'm 20 and I always feels old when a song I remember being played in my youth (e.g Bohemian Like You by The Dandy Warhols) is played on the radio.....in a show dedicated to 'The Oldies'.

I'm 15, and seeing the advances made in animation films from the original Toy Story to Toy Story 3 make me feel sooo old :<
Wow you had probably only just been born when the first Toy Story came out.

I'm 25...that makes me around 10 when Toy Story came out.

The only time I feel particularly old is when I hear people younger than me complain about "kids these days"!

At work I came across some 5 1/4 inch floppy disks... and one of my co-workers had no idea what they were.

-_-' I'm twenty-er-wow. Let me see. I'm almost 24... Damn, forgetting one's own age this young is ridiculous.

Well, that's another thing that makes me feel old... losing track of my own age.
