This was exactly what i was thinking when i wrote that . I wonder why though . Is it because we are used to being around people? Is it because we were taught to be social? Is it because something in our brain snaps when we are truely alone? Do we just get " bored out of our minds"?

Never studied the psychological aspects of it but I just go by that "We are a social creature" thing. It must be true if an introverted shut in like myself can't stand being alone for more than 2 days haha

Several things make me happy, ranging from friends to video games to a cold soda. But the thing that can literally make me tear up in joy is nostalgia. Nothing makes me happier than walking out barefoot on a cold October morning onto my yard and remembering myself 10 years ago doing the exact same thing and playing with my dog, or waking up really early on a Saturday just to watch cartoons.

something simple, the 1.5 or so mile long walk home from school. when i'm not in a hurry (like when i really need to get home, shower, collect my tripod, camera, and auxiliary lens to go photograph a battle report), its nice to just slow down, put on some music in one ear, and just watch people as they go by, give a friendly nod to those construction workers, or really every passer-by, and feel a little more content you made someone smile just by giving them one of your own.

bonus points if its drizzling lightly, or is really any kind of overcast, and there is a nice breeze. (direct sunlight just hurts my eyes. im a big fan of complete cloud over, though its thin enough that its not darker than it should be at that time of day)

ah yes cats. except for my one cat who will not shut the fuck up. every single time she sees a human, she meows for no apparent reason. we give food, she wont shut up. we give water, she wont shut up. we pet/scratch her, she wont shut up. we let her go outside, she wont shut up, but at least we can close the door and dont have to listen to that shit.

while i'm not a fan of cherry limeade, i agree with the concept (simple drinks that make you happy). for me, its just about any kind of fruit juice, concentrate or not, i just like it.

yes, that does mean i am a 16 year old who still likes apple juice. wachugon'doboutit?

OT: makes me happy?

having a good time with friends, having people be polite (if they do nice things for me, i appreciate and show it in return, or vise versa..you'd be surprised how little people thank me for favors or something as such, it's a little down putting sometimes.)

also, a nice hug (preferably female) can just really hit the spot on a stressful day, it's just good to know someone is there and it helps give you that deep breath of "i know that feel" kind of moment with that person.
