My question is fairly straightforward,

What brings out/has brought out the inner shrieking schoolgirl in you? An announcement for a game you're hyped for? Meeting you favourite Rock-and-Roll group? Let me know, people! I need dirt inspiration!

Personally, I had a moment like this when I saw the first Skyrim trailer. By the end of it, I was thinking, to put it mildly, "Yep, dis gonna be good!"
Waking up in the middle of the night as a child to the screams of a homicidal maniac in my bathroom; "Where the fuck is the bactine?!?!?!?"

Oh... wait...

It sounds a bit weird, but anytime something related to Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid happens, I squee a bit. I

I'm way too into MGS.

Cute anthropomorphic animals, or cuddly plushies are a reliable way to make me squee.

...For example, when my GF and I went to see Rise of the Guardians:
We both squee'd when we saw the de-powered tiny Easter bunny. ^_^ Cuteness overload, right there.

...What? Why are you looking at me like that! Cute little talking animals are awesome! ^_^

Also, cute cat pictures. Those are amazing too. ^_^
In that case you'll love this:

The last time I squeed was probably when I saw I could get a honeybadger headcrest for War of the Roses. If you count fake ones I sometimes let one out when someone I'm subscribed to let's out only rare videos and I see a new one, but that's just to make a point.

Everything regarding Star Citizen. [http://robertsspaceindustries.com/] The man behind it made Freelancer, my favorite game, and thus I am obliged to pledge money towards the game he always wanted to make. I have never been excited like this for a game in development before.
God, when i found out about this my money could not leave my wallet fast enough :D hanger module in August >.<

Easy answer: MLP, especially when the Mane 6 have a flash back to when they were just little fillies. (See spoiler for an example)
Answer 2: The hope that I will be attending a 2014 Ponycon.
Answer 3: Mein Avatar.
Finally, I also did it when they announced Transistor. Loved Bastion and have high hopes for this game as well.

Great achievements in science. Like when Curiosity had landed and we got actual, real photographs from the surface of another planet. Also, all the scientists and engineers in the control room who were so happy and excited. Just to see that level of human genius, to know what we can be capable of.

THIS.

SUPERMAN!!!! Cannot WAIT for this movie. I know I'm probably hyping myself up too much, but I'm excited to see my second favorite superhero have a proper, modern big screen adaptation that people actually, ya know, like. The creative team is basically exactly the people I'd want behind this sort of project, so I can't help but be confident that I'll be satisfied by this film!

Conversely, the promised film adaptation of my favorite superhero, The Flash, is looking almost dead in the water. Which I'm okay with, because I hated the planned creative team they had behind that. Ugh. Better no film than a shit one.
