Most things taste better when eaten with wooden utensils. It might sound weird, but compared to metal wood feels much better when eating and it seems to affect the taste.

Fresh cooked and at the right temperature, beats almost every other "tweak". Sure cold or reheated food is still good, but something that just came off the fire still steaming with all it's tasty goodness is just a whole new ballpark.

That would actually make sense- The metals that your cutlery is made from affect the taste slightly [http://munchies.vice.com/articles/it-turns-out-silver-spoons-make-food-taste-awful]. I'm guessing wood is pretty inert so it would be, supposedly, almost as good as gold?

Bearing in mind that broccoli is revolting, I've always tried to avoid it. For some bizarre reason it came on the side of a steak at TGI Fridays, and I made the greatest discovery in culinary history- Broccoli is a motherfucking sponge. It absorbed the entire ramekin of barbecue sauce, turning into some kind of weird meaty fig with the appearance of the inside of a smoker's lungs. It's the only way that broccoli is acceptable as food.

Not quite food but i think its relevant. was taught to me by a work mate who spent a fair time in eastern europe / russia

Shot of vodka drinking method.

take a deep breath, then exhale about 3/4 of the air in your lungs, toss the shot straight down your throat then breath out the last 1/4 of air.
its gets rid of the bad aftertaste which is from the vapors apparently
and it really dose work as i normally don't drink straight vodka
