So I heard about a LoTR MOBA coming out and thought - hey that's a pretty cool idea. Obviously it won't become a massive E-sport like Dota or LoL, but could be a bit of fun.

So what IPs would you like to see turned into a MOBAs and how do you think some of their heroes could work?

Star Wars is an obvious one. Boba Fett would be pretty similar to Bounty Hunter in Dota I imagine but without stealth and with an awesome jetpack instead.

Moar Warcraft for sure. I'd love to be Thrall and fuck some people up. LoL is the only MOBA I've played to my knowledge. I played a little Warcraft 3 but I don't think those are considered MOBA even though they came from a mod in WC3 if I'm correct.

Might I recommend Smite? It's different than most, seeing as its 3rd person, instead of overhead. Attacks require more skill to hit, and you're much closer to the action.

Not everyone does the clicking thing, it's a carry over from RTS games, not really originating from MOBA games. Watch some starcraft 2 players they're clicking all around randomly even though jack shit is happening in game. It's one of those stupid things where people believe that if they keep clicking around it will keep them on their toes to be ready for anything.

On Topic: I really don't want to see more MOBA games to be honest. I love the genre but there really are enough good MOBAs out there that actually need players/attention, I don't think adding more to the pool would help anyone.

You've obviously never seen Starcraft pros play...
And even though you don't have to do it to be good at MOBAs, doing it does give you a slight advantage because constantly clicking means you're constantly in control of your character and in case of emergency you will most likely react faster.

Wait we need more MOBAs? Considering they're pretty time and energy consuming games I doubt we need more.

I've only played LoL and takes up loads of my time.

I would love to try DOTA 2 if my laptop didn't fucking suck, i've got a beta key and everything! Let me clarify, *try* DOTA not *move on to* DOTA Some people seem to believe that you can play one MOBA and one MOBA only and god forbid you have an interest in more than one.

Besides, DOTA 2 doesn't have my beloved Irelia now does it? Nor does it include the manliest man around Ezreal. That's just unacceptable XD

We kinda have enough, I only play LoL and it takes up all my time, if they ever made DOTA 2s initial learning curve more fun than prying my eyeballs out with a crowbar then I would try that and have even less free time.

Although if there was an IP I would like to see in a MOBA it would be 40K. The problem with IP based MOBAs is that the creativity for different champs can be limited by the IP but then I suppose that isn't too hard to get around.
I would say 40K because it has so much epic in it.

I have others but I won't list them here.

Bleach
Code Geass
Halo
Gears of war
Naruto
One piece
Blazblue
A zombie game such as L4D with special kinds of infected as the champions
Elder Scrolls
Gurren Lagaan
Others

Clicking around and constantly moving has kept me safe from many a fatal Pudge hook.
