I love how everyone confuses "emotion" with "sadness."

While I myself have the emotion of a small, potted cactus, the movie that had the biggest impact on me ever would have to be my favorite movie of all time: The Empire Strikes Back.
This movie 99.99%(repeating of course) of anything that could possibly be in a movie. No other movie could pull that off so seemlessly or perfectly.

Hey now, cactuses have lots of feelings. My grandmother has one named Mr. Prickles, and he's practically a member of the family.

Toy Story 3 really did invoke some pretty powerful emotional moments for me, it's certainly the best most recently that did make me feel very upset. Pixar movies are good at that, they are masterful manipulators.

Sadness is an emotion my dear boy, but that is a good point. I suppose technically rage and fear are emotions, right? In that case, I think Transformers 2 may have been the most emotionally affecting movies ever. No other movie has made me as angry at, or afraid for, the human race as I walked out of the theater.

If you have ever seen Taking Chance.

Yeah. That is the only movie so far that has made me almost cry during a movie.

If you havent seen it I would definetly say go buy or rent it and watch it is an AMAZING movie.

Wallace and Gromit in The Wrong Trousers. I always cried as a kid when Gromit was in his doghouse, looking inside to see Wallace and the penguin having fun without him.

That avian bastard.

I get very depressed after watching 500 Days of Summer. I guess I connect really well with Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character, and by the end I hate Zooey Deschanel for a while (difficult for me, as not a week or two ago I deemed her my "perfect woman" in a thread right here on this very site). While I don't necessarily get depressed or "sad" when I finish watching The Last Samurai, I do get fairly quiet and introspective.

As for humor, the first time I watched Bruce's Almighty I almost peed my pants. They were kind enough to pause the movie for a few minutes (in the theater, no less! No joke.) to let everyone catch their breath and head to the bathroom after the scene where Steve Carrell goes nuts. Damn funny.

Some of you have said Up and Toy Story 3, but I actually haven't seen them yet, which is depressing in of itself...

The Lion King - The part where Mufasa died had me sobbing like a baby. I am a 19 year old male, just to clarify.

Marley and Me. I had my own dog die when I was about the age of the kids in the movie, and I just get really sad when dogs die.

"Green Mile" I felt sadness towards the end of the movie and couldn't stop crying eveb after the credits. No film has never since has made me do that.
This, but replace Green Mile (which I've never watched) with Courage Under Fire.

Loads of movies have gotten an emotional response from me.

Finding the greatest would require me to quantify those emotional responses. That's tricky, if not impossible.
