And would you believe that "Tears in rain" one of the most iconic quotes in movie history, was improvised on the spot?

The scene that I remember being very emotional is the one where they are trying to cut their way into the hull of the capsized ship and they get far enough for some trapped sailors to reach their grasping hands out; but, they get no further and the grasping slowly ceases until their fingers aren't moving at all. Drowning, in my opinion, is the worst way to die. This scene was pretty powerful.Lizmichi said:Pearl Harbor, the end always chokes me up but that's war for you; people you care about die. Hell, I lost a friend of mine almost a year ago in Iraq to a roadside bomb.
I felt sad for Up and a little for Pan's Labyrinth but I was mostly thinking "Why won't he Die?"Julianking93 said:Up. No movie has ever made me cry within the first 5 minutes.
That and Pan's Labyrinth.
