What movie or game or what ever do you hate that everyone else loves?

Mass effect. WHY DO PEOPLE THINK IT HAS A GOOD STORYLINE! Also the gunplay was pretty shit.

Holy crap I hated that game!!! Why does everyone and their brother like it so damn much?

Crappy things:
-Game play
-Story
-characters (I honestly couldn't care if one of them died or not)
-the 2 seconds of bare ass that moved the game
-finally the whole "manage your followers shit like your their mum" thing

Everything from the Disney Channel, Twilight, Spiderman 3, Pirates of the Carribean 3, pretty much all pop music, all music TV stations, texting, Ipods, pretty much all teen culture this generation. Most of that stuff is pretty much hated by everyone, but most of my friends love this trendy bullshit. At least I'll be proud to tell my grandkids that I always thought Hannah Montana was shit, unlike my mom, who still has her Monkees T-shirt.

Watchmen's a good one, but for me it's Pulp Fiction. I get what was going on, I get what Tarantino was trying to do. For me, it was really just boring people prattling on, disjointedly, about stuff I didn't care about.

I know a lot of people who didn't like The Watchmen. But Twilight... makes me want to scream. I've read the books, my sister referred them to me before I really knew anything about them with the warning that they suck.
I don't know why every teenage girl I know loves Edward so much. The characters are flat, and the whole premise is that of a very unhealthy relationship:

OMG! I'll die if Edward leaves me! Oh wait, Jacob is here, I'll hang out with him until Edward comes back. Edward's back! /happy dance.
Followed by the "No Sex Til Marriage" message, that the girls who read it mostly don't follow.

"Bella, no sex til we're married."
"Let's get married!"
"Even though you're just finished with high school and high on hormones... Sounds like a plan!"

Half life 2 (I played it and it bored the crap out of me, nothing ever happened), Lord of the rings (Why didn't they just use the giant eagles to fly them to Mt. Doom? It would have saved a lot of time and the first movie would have taken 10 minutes) and Star Wars all of it (It really isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be. I think people of the time were just impressed by the flashing lights. Probably still are who knows)

I agree for the most part, but I love So You Think You Can Dance. More people are more aware of the awesome things you can do with dance.
However, Simon Cowell is the monster responsible for American Idol, and that shit needs to stop. There are millions of more talented musicians out there who don't get any recognition because they have some pride and don't go on tv and make total asses of themselves. They do it online.

I said it in a thread not too long ago: Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. I cant get into it. I dont know whats so special. Maybe because i never made it past the deku tree? But i just didnt care for it.

I am suprised that someone could hate it but hey we all have our likes and dislikes. I am a big Zelda fanboy, but I am not the bad kind, I listen to reason and don't force my opinions down peoples throats.

For me, any Duke nukeum. I don't see anything appealing about some 80's cookie cutter. stereotypical, american action hero.
I also hate anything to do with Superman.

Okami.Really, I couldn't find anything in the game that really fits all the praise and love I've heard about it when it came out.I mean the game play wasn't really all that great and the story was at best average, the only thing I really liked was that it was an original idea.

For me Harry Potter lost it's appeal when it stopped being a children's book. People keep praising how much it's grown with it's audience. To me it came off as slightly desperate and trying to be something it was not. Have to confess though, never read past the fourth book.

Also, I know it's not a movie but Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah. It's not just that I think it's a mediocre song to begin with, but it's like people DON'T KNOW ANY OTHER SENTIMENTAL SONG! Stop playing it! And stop pretend like you cry each time you hear it! It's not that good

edit: Kind of caught the hype on Psychonauts too. Wasn't a bad game, I just had way too high expectations, was hoping for more.

I don't see the appeal of either one, either. Disney used to have some cool stuff, then they decided pleasing the mindless 12 year old girls was more important than decent entertainment.
