Eight Below is the only one that actually brought me to tears that I can remember, although there are many movies that brought a lump to my throat.

I can't think of any movies... but there was that scene in the musical episode of Scrubs right before the patient goes in for her potentially fatal surgery. When the cast is lined up in that panoramic shot outside the window, singing that song... man, it just gets me.

It didn't help that the day I first saw that episode wasn't particularly good.

The ending battle of Saving Private Ryan made me tear up a bit. I loved every character in that movie.

Also this scene makes me cry damn near every time when he knocks over the machine.

Oh my God, yes! YES! YES! That episode, out of the several times I have seen it, has not failed to have me tear up. My big sister's fiancee and cousin have cried at that, but the big sister has not and rags me about it each time.

It is made worse when he simply croaks "Yeah" as a final line.

The episode where Ben tries to convince Dr. Cox to be fair on J.D. with the patient who died under his care. If you have seen it, you know what I mean.

Glory, Atonement, Braveheart, Edward Scissorhands, Firefly, just about anything with themes of self sacrifice, unrequited love, or tragedy. I'm actually tearing up right now thinking about the films that make me cry.

Well, I dont cry, but the movie that made me feel like crying the most are:

The end of "V for Vendetta" and The end of "Blow" (*Spoilers* With him thinking his daughter was there).

If you've seen either, you know what Im talking about.

The Fountain.
That one always gets me.

Also Marley & Me, Forrest Gump, Seven Pounds...

There's others too, many of the ones already mentioned, like Up. Heck I teared up in Naruto that one episode earlier on. Forget which one exactly. Loneliness can be as emotionally moving as death or love... I really enjoy when a movie or show is good enough to make me cry. To get an audience THAT invested in a character on screen... amazing.

The ending of Pan's Labyrinth made me cry like an itty baby. I also cried at The Devil's Backbone, also by Guillermo del Toro.

The most sob-worthy part of Up for me was
the bit at the end, when the house finally comes to rest at the top of the falls, exactly like in the painting? OH GOD THE TEARS WON'T STOP.

but I sniffled through the entire thing.

Jeez, it really is. It didn't make me cry, but mostly because I was too emotionally hollowed out to cry.

[small]On a related note, every time I have to kill a dog in a video game I pretty much feel like the worst person ever.[/small]

Haha I would have gone with Cast Away too. Another one would have been The Green Mile.

On a related note, I'll bet you didn't enjoy Fallout 3?

I was so afraid for Dogmeat's life, I didn't befriend him until the final mission.
