metal flute - the perfect baton.
Bingo. Good for a distance stabbing weapon, and sturdy enough for a defensive weapon as well.
Let the skull-bashing commence!

Tuba ************.

I'd just grab it by the bell and spin in circles until it takes someones head off.

Drum set, so many different forms of attack in one.

Drumsticks for chucking or close-range fighting.
Cymbal ninja-stars.
And drums to just smash over their heads to finish them off.

A heavy metal guitar. You rock your opponent first, and then kick his ass with some serious heavy shit.

Or perhaps a violin, you can use the bow together with the snares just like a crossbow. One of the only ranged weapons in the world of instrumentals.
Genius.
If I'm ever attacked at one of my recitals, I'll be able to defend myself.

You still don't get it.
Imagine something three times the size of your parents house.
That's made of metal

Depends on what kind of weapon you want...I mean, obviously there's the bladed or spiked guitars toted around by metal bands, and of course, many percussion instruments have roots as weapons (cymbals, drumsticks, rain stick, to name a few), but if it were me having to pick one instrument, I actually have to agree with the starter and say, the sax. One part spear thrower, one part battering ram (believe me, they work as one, quite effectively), and one part flanged mace. They're evil, they're handy, and they fit that requirement of being a musical instrument.
