Boy, girl, doesn't matter. They will listen to system of a down all the time and they will love it as much as me. If that is even possible.
this.

and they will love bass music, even if they are both born deaf.
Hey, Beethoven was deaf, and he was amazing. Just make sure you put it really close to them so that they can actually feel the vibrations.
but Beethoven wasn't born deaf, he became deaf later in his life, but still new the sounds to all the notes, so he could write music.
Good point. Guess you'll just have to work twice as hard to help them become musically proficient (If they are born deaf, let's hope they aren't!)

My parents listened to a lot of Gene Pitney and the Beach Boys, so I ended up liking it. Today, I listen to a lot of 50s through late 90s, with my top favorite bands being:

Electric Light Orchestra
Queen
Elton John
Phil Collins
Rolling Stones
R.E.M.
and The Beatles
NEW ADDITION TO THE LIST: Thievery Corporation

I certainly wasn't forced to like it, I just liked it. As a result, I cannot stand to listen to much music today, with the exception of Thievery Corporation.

For my kids, I'll listen to a lot of classic rock and everything, if they don't like it, maybe I'll hope for a kid who likes Dethklok or something, certainly can't hurt.

I won't make them listen to anything. What am I, some kind of brain washer? O no, never, they can find out their own musical tastes.

Now of course I will still listen to my own music even with children around. Jazz (Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Freddy Hubbard, John Coltrane, even Micheal Bublé), blues (B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan) and lots of rock (classical, alternative, regular, everything from Nine Inch Nails to Pink Floyd to Rush to Queen to Led Zeppelin to Jimmy Hendrix to CCR to The Beatles to Muse and I can go on like that for a while) and a quite tad of various other genres (classical, plenty of movie/game soundtracks, kodo, even a bit of electronica) will be heard quite often in my household.

If they end up liking that as well, that's fine. If they don't, well, too bad. They're not clones of me you know. I just hope they don't end up liking...*shiver* hip-hop.
