Err, the L4D single player is the Multiplayer without intelligent teammates, just the computer controlled AI. While they can shoot at least, the AI does stupid things occasionally. And by occasionally I mean a lot.

See, that's why I ask stupid questions, because I don't know they're stupid until someone answers and I say "Wow, I feel stupid now." Thanks for the heads up on that. Saved me $$$ I'll use on a Live subscription after I get paid.

Oh, the game's awesome. Just as long as you have an Xbox Live Gold Subscription. Of course, the sequel comes out in like, 5 days so unless you have friends who already have Left 4 Dead and aren't planning on selling it to buy Left 4 Dead 2 you're probably better off getting the sequel instead.

Seriously though. The games listed above are fun and I have enoyed them and in my opinon they should be considered must haves.

Getting my 360 this afternoon. So far, I've listed Bioshock, Dead Rising, Left4Dead, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, Mass Effect and Fallout 3 as must-haves. Help a 360 noob out. What am I missing?

Drop Left4Dead. It's $50 back in your pocket to spend on Oblivion, Batman: AA, or CoD: WaW (which has better co-op zombies).

Also, get Castle Crashers. There is no negotiation in this matter - you will get it.

Id leave out LFD and assassins creed if i were you.. wait for sequels.

But then you won't know what's happening in Assassin's Creed 2, and you won't get to experience LFD's characters and story. Honestly, I'd agree not to buy them, but at least rent them for the experience.
