A fourth title definitely would be.ChromeAlchemist said:Fair enough if you bought the game and felt ripped off, but three titles is hardly milking a franchise for money is it?Internet Kraken said:It's just milking a franchise for more money. I bought brawl and felt ripped off. I would have been satisfied if I had just stuck with melee.ChromeAlchemist said:Why?Internet Kraken said:None. We don't need another smash brothers.
So by RE4 do you think they were milking the franchise in terms of canon titles?Internet Kraken said:A fourth title definitely would be.ChromeAlchemist said:Fair enough if you bought the game and felt ripped off, but three titles is hardly milking a franchise for money is it?Internet Kraken said:It's just milking a franchise for more money. Yeah, Kojima is good friends with Miyamoto (the lucky devil)JJDWilson said:My point is its not nintendo's descision to say, "You know what? We need more Megaman in this game." Solid snake and sonic was only used because Kojima and Sega allowed nintendo to use them for the crossover.WinterSoldier said:Then explain Solid Snake. He's MUCH more "third party" than MegaMan is, yet he's still in Brawl.JJDWilson said:I know most people are joking but roastbeefy what you must understand is that super smash bros is only really for nintendo characters and it is not their descision to use thrid party characters in the game. Hence why Megaman has not, is not and NEVER WILL be in super smash bros.
Incedentally the nintendo quote can be applied to almost any game.
RE4 made major game play changes.ChromeAlchemist said:So by RE4 do you think they were milking the franchise in terms of canon titles?Internet Kraken said:A fourth title definitely would be.ChromeAlchemist said:Fair enough if you bought the game and felt ripped off, but three titles is hardly milking a franchise for money is it?Internet Kraken said:It's just milking a franchise for more money. Fair enough on how you feel about it, but RE1-3 made no real gameplay changes, and changed at the fourth title. The Sonic franchise kept the game practically the same until the fifth title, only really adding a layer of exploration to the title with Knuckles.Internet Kraken said:-snip-
It's not like they haven't let non-Nintendo characters in before. It's because the games they were in were all on Nintendo consoles at some point, like Metal Gear and Castlevania.JJDWilson said:I know most people are joking but roastbeefy what you must understand is that super smash bros is only really for nintendo characters and it is not their descision to use thrid party characters in the game. Woot, I was going to say Dark Samus, NOT as a clone of Samus for god's sake! Please to be carefully analyzing the differences; shotgun-like primary fire, weird comet-morphball-thing...yeah I don't want to get into this now (see MP2 for further examples). Plus that freaky laugh would make a great taunt.gigastrike said:Ridley!
Woah. I can see it now...And the next match: A neon blue talking hedgehog with a bad taste in shoes vs. the king of the gods. FIGHT!!!zomsuniux said:Zeus, Poseidon, Hades.
