I'd love for the next generation to greatly reduce loading times.
Also, my electric toothbrush recharges by setting it on top of its plate, no plugging in...how about we get such a plate for our wireless controllers/headsets where they can rest and recharge when we're not playing?

Upgradable parts would be great. If they released new RAM or graphics cards every 2 years or so, I'd buy that.

Little things for the controller would be good. The speaker in the Wiimote can really add to the experience, so that'd be a good place to start. I hope they choose to make the face buttons on the next xbox controller pressure sensitive again. Fianlly, stronger rumble. If I'm firing a minigun, I want my hands to ache.

Backwards compatabilty is a must. Really, making your own games somewhat obsolete is not a smart idea.

Full backwards compatibility.
PPU-Physics Precessing Unit.
Modular design for ugrading the system without preventing newer games from running on a non upgraded system, i.e. Upgrading the console's ram from 8 gigs to 16 gigs but a newer game that uses sixteen gigs can throttle back to use 8 gigs.

Virtual reality...

That is all.
1+ This.

Graphics are already satisfactory, more excessive power is just going make good graphics better or more things cluttering the screen. We already have enough, they need to introduce a game changer for the next consoles otherwise they shouldn't bother. I'm prepared to wait.

- VR
- Upgradable parts
- Kinect / Eyetoy full integration from the start
- Full backwards compatibility
- Homebrew support (for legal emulation... one can dream)
- 10 TB hard drive, games no longer come on discs put instead on small flash sticks. Games are then loaded onto your hard drive. Very quick loading times, no disc errors or laser fails.
- Free online, with a decent security system.
- Physical size doesn't matter. Make it large for all I care.
- 3D with / without glasses support.
- A very quiet machine, yet no overheating.
- Can run all games in all screen resolutions. Don't you just hate it when you whip out an old TV and can't run certain games on it?

-Slightly better controllers for PS3, shape them bigger! But don't touch those anologe sticks there damn perfect.
-In game video capture, (Imagine what Blops did, but for every game accessed from XMB)
-Make transition between game and XMB more fluid, so options can be changed in game ect. i know it can be done to an extent now.. but it is slow.
-CROSS GAME VOICE CHAT!!! That goes out to you Sony, sort it out NOW!!!!

-A better quality of console, this gen was fucking terrible.

-Games
-Good Games
-Less Useless Features
-More Good Games
-Did i mention games?
-The Soundtrack Personalization thing was a cool touch, make that an option at all times and boom
-Dust off Ancient Franchises(Secret of mana, Ogre battle, etc.)
-Halfway Decent Friend-system-y Stuff
-More Focus on Singleplayer, because i'm SICK AND TIRED OF MULTIPLAYER SUPPORT BEING THE MAIN ATTRACTION TO THE GAME
-Bigger HDD options without so drastically increasing price(i mean,is the Extra 80 Gigs Really worth the extra 80$?)
-regular content updates for games that should get them I.E. TF2
-Team ICO continues this Win Streak
-more Respect For Sony, Because the PS3 Fanboys should be able to laugh at The Xbox Fanboys and their pathetic excuse for a console they're showboating around(note:Totally not a fanboy, i've been going between nintendo and PS3 all my life, and would be a Nintendo Fanboy if they stayed with amazing systems like the GameCube and N64)

Custom soundtracks. It's always puzzled me why more people aren't irked by the lack of custom soundtracks. The use of it in GTA on the XBOX was just brilliant added a whole new dimension to making the game an experience that was just yours.

I understand that you can play music from the dash over the games, but that's really not the same as driving around Vice City and having Savatages Hall of the Mountain King kick in, or indeed stop when you exit the car.

A console with hardware that can be upgraded. I mean right now we're pretty much stuck with 2006 tech with the 360/PS3. If they want to make the console more like a PC let it have exchangeable graphics card, processor, ram slots. This way Microsoft and Sony can actually build a system with a 10 year life span.

Integration vs. PC opponents ;)

Either that or automatic offswitch anytime someones Mom shouts at them for being on the X-box 540 (not 720 because I'm hoping it'll be a complete turn around... ;) too long.

Removal of all FPS titles?

Removal of all titles that are better with mods.

Modding capability (yeah right.)

/Troll.

Really, what's going to happen is 'z0mgbettergraphicsthanwe'veeverseenbefore' and EVEN MORE ACHIEVEMENTS. Eugh.

I wouldn't worry, the kinect and Wii can't let you get on with a game without telling you to take a break every 10 minutes.
You can guarantee that any VR will shut down after a given time to make sure things don't get too Star Trek.

Atleast until someone can hack it.

I would really like to see an upgrade in the slide out cup holder. I mean it holds cans real nice but if you get like a 42oz drink it just can't hold it up. It needs to be more sturdy. Also I would like the option of playing discs.

OT: I would really like to see better quality as in less failure rates ie RROD etc.

I don't want to see a switch to only online streaming of games.

The main thing I want to see on the next-gen consoles are for the manufacturers to create an ecosystem where more MMO's can thrive.

MS is a perfect example where they were never able to come to an agreement with MMO developers regarding sharing revenues. Sony on the other hand ha at least give their customers a select few games to fill this gap.
