Okay, with Dragon Ball Super on a break, and an upcoming movie on the horizon, I'd like us all to share what we'd personally like to see come next in the Dragon Ball franchise.

What future story arcs would you like to see?

I have two in mind;

First, I hope to one day see a story arc where Majin Buu (or Fat Buu or Mr. Buu if you prefer) populates the Majin race. You know how in Dragon Ball Online and the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games Buu decided he wants to make a family of his own and started creating Majin children? as well as his wife Miss Buu, who so far only appeared in Dragon Ball Online? I'd like to see that made official in the Dragon Ball canon. Cause not only do I think it would be interesting to see what it would be like for Fat Buu to be a father. But the ramifications of there suddenly being a handful of majin children running around Earth could lead to some comedic moments (might even be cute to imagine Fat Buu declaring Hercule Satan the honorary uncle of his kids)

it could also could be his way of solving that reoccurring problem of him being out of action so often (i.e, him falling asleep during important events like Frieza's invasion or the Tournament of Power), with him figuring that his children will be less lazy then him, can be trained to be as strong as him and the other Z-Fighters, and be able to help in defending Earth when necessary.

My second story arc idea goes like this; remember the Future Trunks Arc and how Zamasu and Goku Black enacted their Zero Mortal Plan, which involved wiping out all mortals in the Dragon Ball Multiverse?

Well, what if there was a Dragon Ball villain that had went the opposite route? Someone who hates the gods of the Dragon Ball Multiverse and sought to wipe them all out? with the intention of making it so only mortal races exist and have to live in a world without gods?

Whoever goes about such a plan could be someone who was wronged by the gods in some way and vowed revenge, or they could be a well-intentioned upstart who sees beings like Zen'o or the Gods of Destruction as mere tyrants who have to be put down. Or it could even just be Frieza mounting an assault on the realm of the gods to further his power and authority.

Such a story arc can help further justify the existence of the gods in the Dragon Ball multiverse by showing what would happen if mortals were forced to live completely without them or if some previously unknown threat or disaster were to occur if the gods were threatened with extinction.

But enough about me, what future story arcs would you like to see in the Dragon ball franchise?

I'd like to see Oolong do something. He was a pretty cool character but hasn't done anything since the second arc.

Or maybe he has, I stopped watching after Freeza... kinda doubt it though.

He played Rock Paper Scissors with a god of the destruction.

Going with the OP I want to see similar with the rage of the gods plan but they are from the worlds Zeno "Erased" and as an added bonus they are immune to KI in general

I wanna see the secondary characters show off how insanely powerful they are.

Like, Yamcha and Jaco have to take care of a mob of alien criminals who're after Launch (who's now an interstellar criminal after boosting one of Jaco's or Monaka's rides or something)

Goku die and stay dead. Infact, just time skip 200 years and have new characters and actually end the bloat. They should have just killed Goku off years ago and shifted focus to Gohan for awhile.

There is a reason why in DnD you eventually make new characters. Dragonball stopped being good right about when they finally fought Frieza and just stared at eachother for episodes at a time.

How many more times can you find out that the most powerful being in the universe is not cause actually THIS is the most powerful being in the universe! Except for these guys who are even more powerful! Oh and here is the God of all power! And that God's God of even more power!

They seem to have hit the upper ceiling with Zen'o, who can basically erase everything everywhere just by wanting it. Although I'm sure they could one-up that if they wanted.

Then again, Super Shenron can seemingly just restore erased universes. Who needs stakes when you have the ultimate reset button?

They reached the ceiling 30+ ceilings ago.

Not that interested to be honest, but that might change if, like altnameJag suggests, the non-Saiyan warriors are given their due and their own plot arcs.

Perhaps a new species appears or is bio-engineered that is calm and rational normally, but become unstoppable berserkers when they smell Saiyan blood/sweat. I don't specifically remember anything indicating that 'Ultra Instinct' is limited to Saiyans only, so achieving it might also be possible for the truly dedicated warriors such as Piccolo or Tienshinhan. Let's see some strategic fighting harkening back to original Dragonball instead of just 'power up more to win'.

Furthering that theme of giving time to some non-Saiyans/Gods, while we've now hit the apparent ceiling for Gods with Zeno, back in the Majin Buu arc there was the character Dabura who was introduced as the king of the 'underworld', which is in some way different from king Yemma's 'Hell'. In other words, a Devil standing as the opposite of the Gods.

He got killed before we could really explore it much more than that, but there is still the possibility of that underworld containing stronger Devils to fight, possibly some related to Dabura with magic spell-sounding names in keeping with that arc's theme ('Kazam', 'Xinthos', 'Barada'). Perhaps along with some exceptionally evil and powerful criminals from the past who were sent down to the fire and brimstone type underworld to suffer back before the Kais engineered the much kinder pink-skied 'Hell'.

I also had an idea where there would be 'Time Gods' that get pissed off about Trunks messing with time travel and try to kill him and 'reset' Universe 7, but Whis seems to have taken care of that now.

I'd like Piccolo to actually be allowed to do stuff again. I'm watching the dub (They just finished the Zamasu arc) and Piccolo continues to be shat upon so we can focus on the Goku/Vegeta dynamic, which is a shame, because Vegeta is kind of a boring character.

I have a couple ideas that mostly involve turning the established DBZ status quo on its head. The first being a villain who, either through a wish on the Dragon Balls or through magic, manages to nullify the Ki of every Sayian residing on Earth. That means Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Pan, Trunks, and Goten are reduced to the power of regular humans (though the older ones would still be considered expert martial artists). This would give the other Z-Fighters a chance to shine and force them to come up with other ways of defeating the bad guys other than "wait until Goku shows up".

The other idea would be a villain who uses magic or pscionic powers to screw with the Z-Fighters heads and turn them against each other while they go off and complete their plans. The boiling point wouldn't be between Goku and Vegeta, but rather Goku and Gohan (who has had his resentment and anger towards Goku's constant abandonment cranked to 9001) and lead to an all out brawl between father and son.

That, I'll debate. In all honesty, the series should have ended at the Cell Games. Up until that point, DBZ (Note: I do mean "Z", not Dragonball) had been as much the story of Gohan growing into the world's protector as much as it had been the story of Goku. We saw the kid grow from a normal scared little boy at the start, to a survivor under Piccolo's wing, to a reluctant warrior during the Saiyan Saga, to coming into his own on Namek, to having the mantle of Earth's greatest protector handed to him with the Cell Games. And that was a perfect ending for the series. Goku was dead, but his spirit and legacy lived on through a son that had actually surpassed him. We didn't need to see Goku or Gohan's continuing adventures any more than we needed (or would need, considering release dates) to see (Gen 1) Team Avatar's continuing adventures after the war ended and Aang came into his own as the Avatar.

This so hard. Everything afterward was a bad fanfic; especially with Super. The Buu saga was just the Cell saga, but worse and even more bloated and tedious.I hated when they went back to Goku as the protagonist. That's when I said fuck you, and stopped watching all together. If I were to watch Super, I want to focus on non-Saiyan characters, with Gohan being the exception. Or better yet, skip on all of the characters and make new ones to focus. Otherwise, just watch better anime. You got tons of other options. I definitely do.

I don't know. I lost interest on Dragon Ball when GT started, so I have no idea what crazy stuff they already have done, and what it's left to do.

A new threat from space should show up and fight a bunch of people just strong enough to buy some time for Goku to come back from the dead and kill it.

I would like an arc focusing on Vegeta and Cabba. He visits planet Sadala as promised only to have it attacked by a villain. Rather then defend the planet himself Vegeta instead grooms Cabba to be the hero of Sadala.

It would be a nice chance to show Vegeta's growth as a mentor and Cabba got the short end of the sticks compared to his girlfriends in the tournament of power.

I would like to see someone die permanently, no revive.

Also, since Bulma is such a super genius, she could make something that enhances the power of the human characters and makes them relevant again.
