Does Mischief Makers count? Damn that game was the shit for me on the N64. Also a new Metroid that doesn't suck or is Federation Force.

Ummm...nothing? I want the Switch to burn and fail. Nintendo will never provide its followers with what they desire, you see.

Marvelous. Only got one main game in the franchise but I think it's due for a remake/rerelease/sequel. Gameplay is Lost Vikings with a top down view and the story is like Goonies.

3rd Parties don't make Nintendo Franchise's. they have their own silly.
Wasn't Metroid Prime handled by a smaller company based in America or something? Or was that a case of Nintendo contracting someone else to develop a game under their blessing?

Where does the line between In-House and Third Party come down?

The only right answer is Metriod

and since they fucked us with Other M.

I demand a new Prime, and one like the NES, GB, SNES, GBA games.

For the Switch? Who cares?
For the 3DS? A proper Metroid Side-Scroller.

Retro Studios is a 1st Party development studio owned by Nintendo. Retro Studios = Nintendo.

1st Party is when the platform maker owns the dev.

2nd Party is when a dev isn't owned by the platform maker but decides to focus on making games for one particular platform. usually through a contract deal or something but they aren't tied down at all by the platform holder. like Rare back in the N64 days before Microsoft bought them out and they became 1st party to Microsoft. Rare made games exclusively to Nintendo but Nintendo only owned like 40% of shares in the company so Rare was free to leave and make games for other platforms at any time they wanted to, and that's exactly what happened when Microsoft bought them out.

3rd party is when a dev isn't owned by any platform maker and just makes games for whatever platform they want. devs like EA, Capcom and Ubisoft.

I would really like to see a return of the Yoshi's Island series on the Nintendo Switch, and by that I mean a game more like the original and Yoshi's Island Ds. Add more babies with specific abilities/powers, Yoshi vehicle transformations, colorful graphics that look like they are powered by mode seven, and new eggs to throw at baddies.

Additionally it would be really cool if they made a new Pokemon game like Pokemon Colosseum, where you get to go on a full 3d adventure in a different land doing things that you normally can't do in regular Pokemon games, like fighting shadowy versions of legendary Pokemon. A game like Battle Revolution would be nice too.

Finally, like a bunch of other people have already mentioned, a new Metroid game. Particularly one that take place after Fusion, since it would be nice for the Metroid timeline to move forward rather than just continuously adding more stuff in-between already existing games.

Yoshi's Woolly World is pretty much exactly that. in fact most people consider Woolly World the closest thing we've had to the Original Island since that game came out. with most preffering Woolly world over Yoshi's Island DS and obviously over New island on the 3DS
