One of my first PS 1 games I played was dino crisis 2 ( 16+ age rating btw, way to go dad).
I remember leaving the game, forever saved in some lab, because there was a giant allosaurus outside and he was going to eat me! I was only like 7.

When I was all grown up at the age of 9 I picked the game up and loved it, even brought dino crisis 1 and the dreadful DC 3 when it game out.

I frighten easy though, so allot of games scare me, one of the biggest was on oblivion.
The first undead you meet in the sewers...You know the one!

Some of the stages in the first Thief the dark project were pretty scary but im unsure if it counts as non horor due to the main story arc.

Have to agree here, I remember getting my girlfriend to sit in the room with me ( YEAH im a man) as I was trapped in the dunwitch building with 6 shot gun rounds and a baseball bat. I only wanted the bobble head.

Gears of War- Act 2. Those Kryll, man...

Also, the rat tunnels in Black Ops scared me shitless, especially since I was moving slowly to make no noise and had my flashlight off. Hearing the Vietnamese talking in the tunnels ahead was unnerving to say the least.

When I was younger I was scared of the panther mummies in TR1. The ones with some of the bandages torn off.

I just remember hating the way you could hear them moving around with slow, deliberate steps and how they wheezed every so often whilst looking for you. Then you turned the corner and it saw you, screamed, and then galloped towards you leaping and screaming whenever it had you in front of it.

As for the Atlantis level... I didn't do the Atlantis level for years. Pitch black room with only an ambient heartbeat until you walk forwards one block-CRACK- huge lightning bolt and two of the green egg-pod things on the wall would explode and eject a pair of Atlantean mutant creatures that chased you down and fired flaming fleshballs at you.

I have a fear of deep and dark water. Especially when there's something in there that wants to kill me....
I have the EXACT same problem. I remember that there's one boss in Banjo-Tooie that you have to fight completely in dark water. And the boss was huge. D=

Yeah, definitely Minecraft lol.

The thought of getting killed by a pack of skeletons at night and not being able to retrieve all of your diamond equipment because of said skeletons (let alone trying to run back to your base if it is far from your spawn).

That game can have some fairly unnerving moments...
