I reside in Denmark.
Family in Germany and Sweden.
Wow, this is a tough fucking question.

I'd say Sweden.
My brother has a 1-year old girl, and I'm...
No, I can't really answer the question that way.
I've got one of my uncles and his family in Germany, along with my grandmother and aunt+kid.
I don't see them as much, but... This is damn near impossible.

Probably Sweden.
Maybe your choice should be to save Germany and Sweden, not Denmark.

Someone choose Liechtenstein, just to be awkward. Go on.

Just how thoroughly nuked are we talking about leaving the other countries here? Capitals, all major cities, everywhere with more than 10,000 people in 1km[super]2[/super], everywhere with more than 100 people in a grid square, one nuke at every intersection of a 1km grid or what? If it's only the major cities, my reason for one choice is removed.

*thinks*

You know, if it's only the major cities my reasons for saving this country are reduced in number quite a bit too. Apart from being downwind of one and probably having my financial details on a computer in one ... and having friends in some ... oh, yeah.

Don't need to save Laos because they don't have major cities.

Definitely not saving the Vatican.

Not saving the major cities of South America. Burn them and save the rainforests.

Austria's tempting, but if it's only major cities the best parts are fairly safe.

Japan's ****ed by their own whaling fleet, which is where the first nuke is aimed.

Madagascar, for the lemurs' sake. Save Madagascar.

If you're nuking more than the major cities, the knock-on effects are going to shaft EVERYONE anyway.

Or I could save America purely because it has Harry Potter land or whatever that new theme park is and it sounds so freaking awesome I totally want to go.
The series is set in Britain, the cast are British, the filming was done in studios in Britain and at locations around Britain and so on. That theme park has pretty much nothing to do with it. King's Cross Station? London, England, Britain. The viaduct where the flying car buzzes the Hogwarts Express? Ribblehead Viaduct, Pennine range between Yorkshire and Lancashire, England, Britain.

either the Netherlands or Germany.
I'd save the Netherlands because you cannot not love the dutch, and also their national colour is just so cool. Also, I suppose (correct me if I am wrong) dutch is reasonably similar to German so I would be able to pick it up reasonably quickly.

I'd save Germany because I can and like speaking German (Badly, mind), and Miroslav Klose is nur eine Panzer.

Canada. No need to thank me.
Heh, they'd all probably apologise for needing to be saved :p.
oh that is terrible lol

mine would probably be the UK, cause they're our brothers!

Thankyou old chap, I'd give you a internet cookie but we don't have those across the pond. How about a internet crumpet?

It's close enough that my school German let me read Cape Dutch and get away with wandering into rural Holland.

I just remembered somewhere else I have to save. It's not a country, just a few valleys or, as the locals call them, glens. Specifically, it's Glenmorangie, Glenlivet and Glenfiddich.

So ... those, a certain little coastal town out in Asia because
, several of our National Parks, Laos simply because they're already the most bombed country on Earth and enough is enough, the rainforests and reefs, the Reserves and Reservations in North America (same thing, different name depending which side of the USA-Canada border you are), everyone at Dragon*Con, the lemurs ... I think Antarctica's safe because it's not a country ... the Canadian Rockies ... not Alaska because however lovely the scenery and most of the people are there are some SCARY freaks there ... Tibet, if only to annoy what's left of China ...

Hey, I have a special request. When you nuke Jerusalem, can you hit the Dome Of The Rock / Temple Mount with about a dozen 20MT+ ground-bursts, please? Maybe that'll stop people fighting over it. Sure, they'll still go there to fight over it but then they'll throw up their guts and die and it'll all be so much quieter.

Most likely i wouldn't save any big country, like the U.S (no hard feelings) or Russia (also, plain don't like Russia, have my reasons). Maybe Japan since they're batshit insane and fun. Or one of the Scandinavian ones, always liked them, most likely Finland. Nice contry, always thought of them as my country's big brother.

So yeah, i guess Finland, you're saved!
Dammit! I thought of saving them funny japs but theres 2 estonians here who would rahter save Finland. Now Im guilt compelled to change my choice to Estonia. You win. This time.

...But saving Britain for Harry Potter of all things? Why not mention the saving grace of Discworld? Or Doctor Who? Or even that goddamn Shakespeare guy? Just anything but the tripe that takes place in Hogwarts. I'll save Azerbaijan before I save a country for Harry Potter. :p

As a Canadian, i just want to say there is no possible scenario where anyone else would ever want to destroy/invade us. Not a lot going on up here.

Sweet! I thought that i saw someone else here wanting to save Finland, but i didn't knew it was a fellow Estonian. Bottom line: yay, Estonia and Finland won't be destroyed!

Hey! I'm from the south. Don't kill me.

OT:
Canada is like a sibling of the US, so i'll save them, if i get some of their "bacon"

No offense, I'm merely just not a fan of the south and would value a lot of places over it. I've lived down there and a large part of the people down there annoy me. I've met some real good people there, but I've also seen some real jackasses. So I'm sorry if I offended you, it's just that there is a lot a arrogance and racism down there and quite frankly I can't stand that type of behavior.

Probably Australia. I figure if all the other countries get asploded, then airfare to Australia should finally become affordable.
