what ONE country would you save apart from your own?

This is a "what's your favorite other country" thread in disguise, so I'll say I have a strange fondness for the thinking man's post-Soviet trashcanistan, Georgia.

Americans should choose Iran, however, as this country can't have a functioning political process without some foreign bogeyman to manufacture.

Cuba, because you know, they are making it despite their complete lack of resources, unlike many other countries who started out drowning in stuff and are now eating themselves from the inside out.

Most likely i wouldn't save any big country, like the U.S (no hard feelings) or Russia (also, plain don't like Russia, have my reasons). Maybe Japan since they're batshit insane and fun. Or one of the Scandinavian ones, always liked them, most likely Finland. Nice contry, always thought of them as my country's big brother.

So yeah, i guess Finland, you're saved!

I wouldn't save the country where I live however. Another country that I would save would be England, it has my appreciation as most of the best authors I have read are from there. So it's Japan and England, but not where I live.

Simply put they are America's closest allies despite our differances, and also the "origin culture" we came from.

At least that's who I'd want to pick.

To be honest if I was ever given the option in a sense where I knew everyone else was going to die, I'd probably wind up picking China even though I hate them as a society right now. The reason simply being that they have the higest population of any nation as far as I know, so in the end that would be the "right" desician rationally as opposed to emotionally as it would save the most people.


Frankly, I'm probably the last person you'd want making that call though.
