Yes, I've been enjoying Hyperdimension Neptunia U Action Unleashed.

This is going to sound really dumb, but I've been having some anxiety as of late and I've found the whole tone of the game really rather relaxing. The gameplay is just working button combinations, the visuals and enemies are all very cutesy looking and innocent (Like bunnies and bear heads), even the little cutscenes are just silly non-sense of the protagonists having fun.

The only thing I can think of that close in tone is Rumble Roses. Sadly that doesn't exist for the PC.

I want to know are there any more games like this that are action games? They don't have to be mindless hack/slashers, but I don't want like turn based RPGs or VIsual Novels.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus did get ported recently, but it has a stripping big boobs fanservicey angle. And it's kinda shyte game so you kinda need to be balls deep in that sorta thing to enjoy it.

There's a bunch of indie stuff like Croixleur Sigma or Fairy Bloom Freesia out on Steam.

Not quite fully action focused but Recettear is always worth a look if you haven't. Highly amusing RPG shop simulator with a touch of optional dungeon crawling.

If you got friends and are into sidescrolling beat 'em ups, Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds is worth a look.

The same developers of Neptunia U are releasing a zombie themed action game with the same cast soon. Or porting rather.

Blade Kitten is entertaining enough, though not spectacular, and the script is pretty LOL! MEMES! heavy.

Kind of tentative recommendation for Chantelise - its by the guys who did Recettear, but it came first and it shows. Is an action rpg, and can be fun, but the difficulty and mechanics are rough enough that it can be deeply unfair at times, and not in an intended matter. The story and characters have a lot of charm, and the tendency of your fairy sidekick/sister to threaten to cave someones shins in gave me a wry smile. (the demo ends with her threatening to do it to anyone who pirates the full game)

Also, kinda chreating, but armored hunter GUNHOUND. Technically your controlling a mecha, but the pilot is definitely a lady, and the game overall is like Cybernator/Assault Suits Valken on the SNES

Well it doesn't have the anime girls, but if you're looking for an action adventure game with a relaxing tone and at least an anime aesthetic, grab a PSX emulator and try Tail Concerto. Bar the girls, it actually sounds like exactly what you're looking for in terms of being relaxing and light hearted.

Lots.

The only recent one I'd recommend though is Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. Yes I know technically Itsuki is 'your' character, but events focus so much more on Tsubasa that it feels like she is the protag, while Itsuki is the 'avatar' like in Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Not sure if this is a brief moment of introspective clarity or just the typical, casual dismissal we've come to expect.

Anyway... On Topic... are you looking for 'cute,' or 'sexy cute.' Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale has a cute protagonist.

Also, don't try to use the anime tag to find games on Steam.

Seriously, don't.

Gravity Rush

She's cute, she's anime, and she's a girl. She can also fly around and has a space cat sidekick.

Yoru no nai kuni/Nights of Azure is a great one. Not quite as lighthearted as neptunia but a lot of fun cool stuff all the same.

If you want ultimate adorabke, get into the Atelier series, they're rpgs and not acton ones but they're basically Kyoani anime in game form.

Mirror's Edge, the original not this new one (although it's not terrible, I just didn't personally like it). It's not blue hair and Disney eyes anime, but I mean, come on. It's anime.

And sure I don't know if you'd call it action, but Valkyria Chronicles really does tick the boxes you asked for.

There's a German word for the good feeling of being with friends and family, "gemutlichkeit". You might find that aside from games, there's anime that really captures that feeling. Some of the slice of life anime really do, like Koufuku Graffiti, or Wagnaria!.

Do... do you think it's anime just because the protagonist is asian?

On a serious note though, Mirror's Edge isn't 'anime' in any conceivable way.

I've never once thought of Mirror's Edge as anime. The cutscenes don't look like it.
It always read like a kind of "Live Action" anime to me. Not a point I'll defend to the death or anything, just a personal impression.

And for the record it has nothing to do with a bunch of young people literally running over rooftops and performing truly unlikely parkour for hours on end, fighting a kind of nebulous tyranny.

Mirror's edge I guess could pass as a token version of anime made by americans who don't really understand anime I guess but I think it was just supposed to be stylized and wasn't trying to be anime-like.

Chantelise *might* fit the bill perhaps. It is on Steam for pretty cheap last time I checked.
