[HEADING=1] NOTHING IS TRUE, EVERYTHING IS PERMITTED [/HEADING]

I'm a very opened minded person and it's been working for as long as I can remember.

Well I try to be eco friendly while doing whatever I want while absorbing as much science, history, anime, and technology I can. Don't know if thats really a philosophy

I think the rules that affect my behavior sound a bit like this:

Be a good person.
Don't be a douche.
Pursue happiness, not 'success'.
Disregard what the shallow idiots say about you.
And, uhm... Stay alive kid.
-You'll do well.

My philosophy is that life is what you make it and perspective is crucially important in the world. It comes from my being very reflective and observant. It works for me ^_^

I follow the Bill & Ted philosophy. Be excellent to one another. Works for me. I don't rob, cheat or kill. I don't do anything that would harm another's right to do exactly what I'm doing, or even different things altogether. I would like to think other's would also follow this idea, but I am frequently unsurprised when they don't.

I am a pessimist, because it makes the good moments that much better when they occur. I'm mainly a pessimist because I understand a few important things. Firstly, the human race, as a whole, blows. We're mean, petty and vindictive. Secondly the universe at large doesn't care about us, our social lives, or indeed any of our abstract concepts such as justice or morality. I'm not important as far as the universe is concerned. So I try to be the best person I can be, why? Because it beats being the worst schmuck I can be.

1. My personal philosophy makes me see the world as a sum of everyone's actions
do you believe that someone have have complete control of another mentally?
Depends how you define it. Can somebody be incredibly manipulative and control someone like a puppet? Absolutely. But then it falls to the person being controlled to break out of that and assert themselves. There are most definitely weak and strong in the world and the strong often dictate the actions of the weak
the reason why I ask is because what you said in the original quote, It reminded me of what a friend once said, she said something along the lines of "we are living in nothing more than the darkest manifestation of all man". But I we disagree to a point we do live in a darkworld but not by all mens choosing but by a few mens choosing I don't really believe in the butterfly effect I think those with all the power dictate what the world looks like.

Dress like you're going to be buried. Live like you're going to die tomorrow.

Also no matter how low down you get, there is ALWAYS a way up, if that way is lost to you, you're not trying hard enough.

Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station!

Mine is that you only live in one era at a time. Use what you have and do what you want with your life.

It's truly a blessing in the first place that you
1) Became a(n intelligent) human, of all things, and
2) You were the winner over millions of others... (If you're thinking hard on that one, you're not thinking dirty enough)

I will use my lifetime to do what ever I feel must be done. I won't let it go to waste on crying.
I don't know if I'll ever live again - I can't know. But I do know I get to live now, and it's only for a moment of time, like a game.

It's basically just a game to me, is what I say.
Well, you said it. I like to add a bit of progress to the mix, so I'm always changing my philosophies and world view. I've gone through cynism, as well as devout Christianity and a flirt with Buddhism. At the moment I'm an agnostic-atheist, a man of science, and I believe firmly that technology is the Saviour of mankind. My view on human rights can be boiled down to two words: Be nice.

Do only what is needed is mine. I doesn't have a downside because I do what is necessary, so I can't be bitched at or anything. It came from my insane tendency to not do anything extra. I'm a lazy bastard.

The Maddest March Hare said:
My philosophy on life can be summed up as: I hate everything[footnote]Disclaimer: May not actually be everything.[/footnote]. I am a cynic suffering from major anger repression. Fuck yeah. It's immature and not very well balanced, but I stopped caring a while ago about that kind of business.

My greatest influence would probably be Schadenfreude.

1. I see the world as a bleak and terrible place, filled with people who's only interest is themselves. Some people are okay, but it's like filtering through shit to find a penny. The Escapist has one of the best ratios of pennies compared to the dross that I've found online. And that's why I live here.

2. Of course it has downsides. If you act so negatively about everything, people get fed up with you. Also, if you go into a conversation with someone expecting them to be dicks, you end up coming over as hostile, and miss out on some intelligent, and genuinely nice, friends.

3. It came from a decade of physical and mental bullying, being the social outcast, and then moving house the moment I had begun to adjust to my environment. The bullying then started again, and continued. Eventually I was conditioned to believe everyone had it in for me, and so I started to have it in for the world in return. And ta-da, here we are today. A cynical misanthropist who quite possibly has a borderline personality.
I'm with you, Hare, although I've started to make friends and mellow out a little since we've finally settled down for more than a year.

My philosophy is simple. No matter what life brings your way, cherish what's important to you and try to make everything and everyone in your life important.

One may tolerate a world of demons for the sake of an angel.

It's originally a quote from Doctor Who and meant something like "it's OK to be attacked by monsters if you get to meet the Doctor!"...
Basically, it means that some things are worth suffering for.

Do not waste your childhood studying waste it having fun
Knowledge and material things mean nothing in oblivion
When you die all you have are your friends and memories
If not even that then only your memories

A man can only be made immortal by himself
