I think after a battle like that I'd be more than humbled by it and ready to become the solitary guru. I detest conspicuous consumption and ostentatious displays of wealth already---why would fighting a great evil change that?

I guess for me it would be financial assurance to my kin for generations to come. A credit card with unlimited spending paid for by the world. Getting to pull the you owe me your life on everyone for life. Mainly just kicking back and hoping to get the respect that comes from being the person that anyone from that point onward, would have to say "If he did not do what he did, then nothing would exist or matter"
