I really suggest Warhawk. Its a all Multiplayer game which alot of people still play.

if your into Racing games, Try out Burnout Paradise. Its a great game.
Both are about 10 $ - 20$ Each.

And make sure to cover the good stuff of this generation: Mass Effect, Bioshock, Mirror's Edge , Assassin's Creed, etc.
Sorry if I'm taking this off topic, but Mirrors edge? really? You're the first person I've EVER seen to recommend this game :p

I'd heartily recommend infamous if you've not played it (I know you said you got it free). So so much fun. I plan to get infamous 2 as soon as I clear out the games I've already not even played.

If you like multiplayer I'd recommend assassins creed brotherhood, as it's one of the most unique multiplayer games to come out in some time.

I want to get some new ps3 games. Tell me any that are good and i should get. So far i really want uncharted, heavy rain, just cause 2 and maybe LA noire. Any others i should check out?
LA Noir is rentable but Just Cause 2 is something that you'll want to pop in now and again.
You should also check out Warhawk - it's a lot of fun, cheap, and there's a new version coming out next year - Starhawk
Valkyria Chronicles is a very interesting and unique game that's really nice to look at too: it's a strategy game with a bit of a shooter element.

I recommend getting lots of demos: just download them from the network. Try out the demo for anything that begins with Pixel Junk.

If you dig open world games, get Borderlands goty & Fallout 3 (goty is a bit unstable on the ps3 so if you have a pc, get it for that instead) but Fallout New Vegas was a complete mess on the ps3 - constant crashing but I hear that they fixed up some of the glitches.

Unquestionably and without hesitation. It was far from perfect, but it was creative and well-produced. It was worth playing simply for how unique it was, and though it certainly had its flaws, they were far from pervasive enough to blot out the innovative awesomeness the game presented. After all, you expect flaws in something so new and daring; it's incredibly rare for a game to be that innovative and also perfect. I'm actually very surprised I'm the only one you've seen recommend it; it's not as universally praised as many other games, sure, but there are a lot of people who love it and desperately want that sequel EA keeps teasing us with.

Has no-one mentioned Folklore yet? That's my favourite!

I also recommend Resistane 2 if you like some good old sci-fi shooting.
