What RPG class would you be in the event of a zombie apocalypse?

DEFINITELY a Necromancer. I'm surprised anyone would say otherwise. In a world overrun by the undead, taking up Necromancy is just common sense!

Kelemvor, the God of the Dead (who hates undead more than any other).

It's likely to be a pretty widespread thing, that, no matter what your pantheon.

God of Battle: really prefers fallen warriors to stay dead.
Goddess of Beauty: not going to like Zombies or Nosferatu.
Goddess of Putity: ditto.
God of the Cycle of Birth and Death: infectious undead are an abomination to this guy too.
Goddess of Nature: they're as unnatural as they are undead. Hatred incoming!
God of Death: undeath is downright insulting to him, so, yes, he's going to hate them too.
God of Earthworms: earthworms can't digest corpses that are walking around. Even this guy's not going to like them.
God of Volcanoes: not really concerned one way or the other, but feels he ought to join in for the sake of family.
Goddess of the Oceans: zombies trying to walk across the ocean floor Do Not Belong. Divine Great Hammerhead Shark, it's time to clean up.

Really depends. Myrkul really didn't have a problem with the undead, he just used them as tools. Cyric (who was god of the dead prior to Kelemvor, but after Myrkul) didn't honestly care. Undead tended to survive a bit longer and created even greater slaughter.

Cleric. Any armor, magical healz, and the ability to turn 'em. Plus, bludgeoning weapons are fun.

As for necromancers... Guys like me are gonna rack up a lotta XPs coming after guys like you...

Cleric as well not the cloth wearing priest in WOW. If I had to go another route I call Paladin. That's MY holy Avenger +10

if we're talking about zombies carrying a virus with a silly mortality-rate...the meleè wouldn't do much good. So, I'd go mage or Psion. Psion might seem silly since undead have no minds to break, but I don't need to break minds if I have a batalion of astral constructs

If we are talking about basic classes i would go with a mage because of telaporting and high damage aswell as building barriers.

A hunter. I travel on my own and save as many survivors as I can. I shall cover my face with a mask and blast the decaying faces off zombies with my Rifle and Shotgun. My faithful animal companions will also help me in my mission.

Necromancer. When life gives you lemons... MAKE A FUCKING ARMY OF ZOMBIES!

And if necromancer (or anything like it) isn't allowed, due to the fact it "breaks" the thread, then I'll either be a wizard or rogue. As a wizard I have all sorts of useful spells to survive after the dead are roaming the Earth and as a rogue I really wouldn't have to worry about them. I could easily sneak around them or kill them quickly if necessary.
