spiders. though i dont know if id even call it fear. like if im playing resident evil and something scares me that improves the experience and makes the game more fun for me. with spiders, just seeing them in a game not only doesnt improve the experience, it flat out destroys any fun i was having. i mean i think we can all agree that torchlight and torchlight 2 are not designed to be scary games, but just watching gameplay videos where people are fighting giant spiders is too much for me to handle.

This, really. I'm not the worst person with spiders but ergh.
Its lazy and really insensitive to include something so many people have a crippling phobia of in a game to be scary rather than being creative. Plus, eh it puts me off alot of games. I've put hundreds of hours into skyrim but avoid dungeons as much as i can simply because of this.

I think Unknown danger makes me scared more then anything. For example in minecraft when I hear skeletons, spiders, zombies, or Ender men making noise I get really cautious because I hear the danger, I know its nearby, but I dont know precisely where it is. That sense of the unknown, of being vulnerable because I dont have a specific kind of knowledge does freak me out a bit

A lot of things get me in games. So i guess I'll just start somewhere random

Water, especially deep water scares the crap out of me. The thought that at any moment a creature more adapted to water can grab me and drag me down to the depths without problems scares me.

Spiders, size doesn't really matter, I've always had arachnophobia and spiders scares me every time i encounter them.

Being followed by things that are out to get me. It scares me because I don't know if I'm getting away or if I'm going to get grabbed any second. I never dare to look back because i always think that if I do I will be staring right into the eyes of whatever thing is following me.

the list goes on but upon writing this I realized how much of a coward I am when it comes to games so I decided to stop humiliating myself ending it here.
