There is one thing that really horrifies me.

One day, my grand-children will be telling me that I know nothing about technology, and I was born into an age where technology was new. They'll have some form of supreme computer, and because I don't know how the bastard works, they'll be laughing at me for it. Damn those future children and their Xbox 5000's.

Definetly becoming blind. Or not being able to move anymore. Spending every day in a bed all day long is my new vision of hell

All of it lol. Muscular problems means stuggling to even get up and being at that age where you make a vocal noise as you stand up or move positions. Alzheimers also scares me, it would be so upsetting for my family if I forget who they are and they still had to care for me as I ask them why they're in my house.
Actually yeah, having people to care for me, it's sad for them and humiliating for me

I must admit I don't think I'd be that worried about other people in my family. By the time you get old enough they should have had time to mentally prepare themselves.

Well i'm nowhere near being classed as old age - but that doesn't mean to say it wont fly by :/ I worry about what im going to do, relationships and my dream family. I also hope my body wont get f**ked up too much =D

That I would die alone, with no friends or family to survive me.

Other than that, I think going senile would be pure hell. If I ever get to the stage where I'm batshit mental, cant remember the names of my immediate family, and piss myself, then I give anyone permission to take my sorry ass round the back of the shed and give me both barrels...

Having my mind start to go, like not recognizing family and all that. Very scary.

Could you rephrase the question in the way: Are you scared of being old?

Because I'm not.
Then rephrase it as: what are you least looking forward to about being old?

I suppose the one comforting fact tha comes from this thread is that by the time we are all old medical science would have presumably came along way from where it is now. If Futurama is to be believed :/

I assume she means kill yourslef once you get to 70 as I cant think of anyother way of not getting old.
