Loose women?
I have no idea how that would work....but, interesting idea, I suppose.

On topic however, I'd go w/ a mix of Halo, Half-Life, Bioshock, and Star Wars Republis Commando, w/ a little bit of Gears of War.

But what makes a good story? Like would people prefer a realistic story where we're in the 21'st century, etc or a story which involves guns that shoot rabies?
A good story can be both realistic and....crazy (lets go with that word).
I do not know what makes a good story, but I assume originality has something to do with it.

Lots of blood and gore, some melee weapons, a great storey, perfect pacing, huge scale battles, unique vehicles, balance, kickass multiplayer and co-op, strategy, great weapons, sandbox gameplay with open ended missions that can be completed however you want(like far cry 2), an option for third person, kick ass but still moderately believable hand to hand combat (kind of like the more tame matrix fights. this is starting to sound more like an action game), realistic body and environment damage, enemies that are monsters as well as human enemies, epic boss fights, stealth, customizable weapons(both ranged and melee), a sci-fi setting, and a bullet time system that works in multiplayer by creating an area of effect. Well I went from an FPS to basically an open world sandbox/action/third/first person shooter, sorry it just sort of came out, but I like it, what do you guys think?

A crowbar !

oh and a good story is also important for me .
I love how you prioritise a crowbar over a good story :)

It depends what kind of fps it is. At the moment i want Serious Sam 3, so i'm looking for huge, stupid guns.
Yes, Serious Sam 3 will = the shit

and

Perfect, I love it

Satisfying headshots and guns that feel like they are packing a hefty wollop.
Nothing worse than running around with a lovely looking gun that feels like a peashooter.

It needs to not: be set in world war 2, be a bunch of identical power armored space marines, be buggy. It needs: A mission were the entire point is to run away from a very strong enemy force, at least 1 para drop mission, 1 survival mission, a smart aggressive AI, A last non-bullshitty level which involves you and about 30 other soldiers sneaking up on and attacking about 250 enemies, to be heavily based on strategy( you and your enemies have the same amount of health.

For me, I would kill for a realistic War game.

A large open battlefield with trenches, tanks, and snipers. (Not these "short range snipers" I mean the ones who take you out from several hundred meters away)

Im not talking 20 odd people on the map. I'm talking a fall scale war, with hundreds of players on each team. I don't know how many people would enjoy this, but to me, it would be FPS Heaven.
You'll want to buy the game coming out very soon called Operation Flashpoint

Sngleplayer: A good, fast paced story. Good dialogue. A hard difficulty level where I'm always low on ammo and health. No health regeneration bull. Weapons without artificial spread added (ie lotto bullets). But really, I'm rarely ever going to play a SP game more than once.

Multiplayer: Class based, objective oriented gameplay (CTF and DM are so 1999). Small to medium sized maps (all objectives can be completed in 10-15 minutes). Fast paced gameplay. Weapons that hit what you aim at (no spread). Few spam weapons. Good antilag and anti warp code.

I had a great idea for an FPS.
Vat grown human lab rat is used in time travel experiment which goes horribly wrong.
Wakes up in an alternate reality where Pearl Harbor never happened & consequently the U.S never entered WWII, and our protagonist must fight against super Nazis from the future.
Culminating in a battle against the Robo-fuhrer on his island volcano death fortress.

Also unique weapons, well designed & varied levels, interesting enemies, a cover system and no friendly AIs unless they can F***ing shoot & stay out of the way.

Anything with a sniper rifle will keep me appeased for a good amount of time. Multiplayer of course.

For me variety is a key part of the game - I don't just want to kill a thousand generic enemies along the same hallway. That and a good story.

FPS:

First person.
Guns.
Enemies on the other side of the gun.

Now throw those elements together and you've got doom or painkiller. If you want something more complex you can throw in:

Puzzle solving
Leveling up (RPG town)
Plot W/characters you speak to

And now you're in bethesda town.

So some of the more specific suggestions thrown together (other than "hurr it needs to have guns"):

- A crowbar (alternatively a SNIPER CROWBAR)
- Final frantic car chase
- Interactive environment
- Epic bosses
- Gadgets/Powers/Abilities
- Unfolding storyline
- Weapons that fit the game
- One very large firefight
- Icethrowers
- Women without slut armor
- Comedy

So would that be a good game if built around this as a trunk?
