Here's the story:
I have to go up to my high school in an hour and play in my small pep band for a home football game. I was forced into pep band by my two friends. I couldn't give a crap about the football game. It's raining here. We're going to be outside playing for the entirety of the game (about 2 hours) There are about 15 songs we play. Most are too hard for me to hit the notes on my trumpet. It's cold. My friend who also plays next to me shows off all the time and it annoys me. I have to have memorized about 6 of the songs, of which I have 0. I can't fake playing, there are too few people. I really want to stay in and write some music instead. But I can't.

My question is: When this madness is over, what should I do AFTER this? When I get home? Something that will make me forget about it completely.

Join the football team. Come on, dont be a wuss. Um barring that, go out with friends? Stop dwelling on things you put yourself into.
This. Plus more emphasis on the wuss part.

Play some cool games. Get some snacks, turn off the lights and just enjoy a night in doing what you enjoy. Or, you could just have a danger wank, if your caught, I'll bet my balloons that you won't remember sodding band practice.

Where do you live? There's supposed to be some big football game here (though of course I don't know any of the damn details about it since I couldn't care less) and it's raining here too.

Those two coincidences are enough to make me think you live near me.

Gorge on ice cream. Eat as much as you can as fast as possible. Then spend the rest of the night throwing it all up in the toilet.

That'll make you forget all about your troubles.

Burn something. It's always fun burning things. It makes it aaaaaaaall right.
"All your problems can be solved with fire" ? Sounds intersting!

I would recommend a long warm bath. With bubbles if possible. And then some TV or a game you're sure you won't get upset about.
Oh oh! Even better, hot chocolat! It doesn't make me forget what happened but it awlays raises my mood.

What about a flood? Can't solve that with fire.
With enough fire, yes you can. Remember evaporation?

Cortland, you say and then seem to have edited? Well that's close, but not as close as I was thinking.
