Tell me, since you're such an intelligent, humble lass, how would one find out they don't like a game, especially an entry in a series they've liked up to this point, without playing it?
Also, your first statement is incredibly arrogant, "I like it, you don't, your opinion doesn't matter though because you shouldn't have got it in the first place."
You do understand that you asked that question over the internet, right?
Do you also know that there are sites where you can watch videos of people playing the game? And don't be shocked, but there are also game play trailer, reviews of professional journalist and of other user. Unfortunately not as popular as they were, but many games still have demos, which you can download for free and test the game.
Also, you can't know whether or not you will like the story as a whole. There is no way of knowing it 100% except by playing it.
But same goes for music, books, movies, paintings, clothing, food, cars and everything else that is being sold.
Can you request the architect to change your house for free after you have bought it? Did you ask any musician to change some songs after you bough a CD because of 1-3 songs you liked, but then realized you don't like the rest?
Can you ask that they change your food in a restaurant because you don't like the taste (keep in mind that the food is fresh and properly cooked, just not your taste)?
I never said you can't or shouldn't complain. I never said you can't criticize something.
But you don't have the right to request something to be changed because you want it so. You can ask, but not request. But even that isn't fair to the people who like it as it is.
By buying games, you have always to keep in mind that the game won't be the best think that happened to human kind since electricity. If you have to high hopes, you will be disappointed. You obviously overhyped the game in your head and now you're disappointed even more than you would have been.
And my first statement isn't arrogant.
Games are released as the developer imagine them. It's their vision. If you don't like it as it is, you never were the kind of gamer they were aiming at. People who like the game are. Therefor changing something to fit you even tho it never was intended for you is arrogant, if it is going to ruin the experience of the group for which it was intended.
