Jesus H. Christ on Ice Skates! Stop caring what other people think. Watch what you wanna watch, do what you wanna do and be yourself. People will judge you no matter what. Everyone has their own view of what's "acceptable" for everything. What's acceptable to wear, do, how to act, what to say and more.
Don't let other people decide what you like for you, decide for yourself. If they don't like it, they can go fuck themselves, simple as that. Don't waste your time trying to meet the bullshit expectations people put out there, because no matter what you do, someone will find it "unacceptable".
Look at video games. There are people that perceive them as toys and think that a grown, mature man playing with "toys" is "unacceptable". These same people are ignorant to them because they never give them a chance. They don't know the entertainment, the joy, the bliss that someone can get out of videogames. Yet you have absolutely no problem playing videogames, right?
The same goes for MLP. They don't give it a chance, stuck in their own little worlds where everyone has to be like this and everyone has to be like that. They're unaware that IN THE REAL WORLD, people like what THEY like and not what someone else TELLS THEM they should like.
I'll say it again. Like what you like and don't give a fuck what anyone thinks.
