What shows are 'acceptable' for someone 'mature' to watch?

Yes, this is a thread response to all the discussions about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I'm a bit confused about people who say that "of course I don't watch My Little Pony! I'm a grown man For Fuck's Sake!"
More precisely, I started to wonder what is deemed 'acceptable' to watch.
I imagine the answers will be something along the lines of CSI and Mad Men or what have you.

If the show has an episode where noone dies, or is subjected to heavy violence, it is not acceptable to watch for anyone but children and womenfolk.

I see what you did there and I like it (for lack of a less silly way and more mature way of saying I liked your post).

I imagine that a lot of the people who say that there is an age limit don't think there is for Pokemon games or playing on the Wii or whatnot.

Personally I will enjoy whatever I like and I don't care what anybody else thinks of it, I never shove it down peoples throats, so if they have a problem then it's theirs, not mine. Quite frankly, it's none of their business.
