Well, in my bed, I exit the bed on the lefft side (assuming orientation is face-up, from lying on the bed itself), but I usually sleep and therefore wake on the right-hand side of said bed. I also tend to sleep, and therefore awaken facedown.
When on a double bed, I tend to take the left side, allowing my partner to take the right. Exits vary, but waking up usually occurs on the right-hand side of the bed and very close to aforementioned partner.
Hard time sleeping for either us us usually leads for me to move closer to the far side of the bed so that our odies don't interfere with the other sleeping comfortably.

I probably more often wake up on the right side of the bed, facing inwards, but it really all depends on how sore I may be and how my partner sleeps. Sometimes I find myself dangling off the bed, sometimes sprawled out in the middle.

When my honey and I first moved out, 8 years ago, I would wake up smashed against the wall because we only had a twin bed now, I'm comfy on the "right" side with no wall smashing my face.

It depends how you're looking at / lying on the bed. If I'm facing upwards my right hand side, however if I'm on my side as I frequently am it's the front side or the back side depending on which side I am lying on... Far too many variables to take into account.

The simplest way of saying it is it's the side that doesn't have a very large digital piano (slightly different to a keyboard) blocking the way.
