I'm planning on doing an AMD APU based build in a couple of months (when I have some money) for my family. This is my first build (so this is practice as well before I do one for myself) and I'm kinda stuck on the PSU. These are the specs:

AMD A8-5600K APU
XFX Radeon HD 6670 GPU
ASRock FM2 mATX Motherboard
OCZ Solid 3 120GB SSD
Corsair XMS3 2x2GB DDR3 Memory
Sony Optical Drive

I figured this PSU might be enough but I'm not entirely sure.

Is 500W sufficient for this build? Thanks for your help :)

EDIT: New link, old one seems to be broken.

I used this[footnote]http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine[/footnote] and got a minimum of 212W, so 500W should be fine. If in doubt/you don't trust someone from the internet, go down to your local Maplins or other electrical/tech store and ask.

The AMD A10 APU is out so you might want to switch that out. A 500W power suply is more than enough for that build. I my self use this rock solid power supply :

I went for the A8 because of price. The A10 is about £20 more expensive than the A8 for what seems to be a slightly higher processor speed and slightly better graphics. Doesn't seem worth it when the gains are small and a 6670's going in there anyway.

Good to know the PSU's enough though, thanks for your help :)

Well I personally would go for the A10. Those 20 units of currency will seem like a good investment a year down the line.
I'll see what my budget's like when the time comes to it. If I can stretch it I might get it and an aftermarket cooler for overclocking :)
