Er, doesn't that say something about your expectations if you ALREADY have ideas for mods you want to use in a game that hasn't even come out yet?

Like, you're basically saying "Skyrim isn't good enough, so I'm going to get these mods."

I want a levitate spell, though I might settle for something that allows me to jump from one end of the region to the other, with me turning into a fine paste upon landing because I never thought of getting a spell to slow down my descent.
Also, something to get rid of the compass, because I don't like something on screen to constantly remind me I'm supposed to have some sort of goal.

Ok, I am really curious: Am I the only person who doesn't have any desire to use mods? Am I the only person who wants to play the game as it's written, and who has more than enough fun that way? To clarify, I am going to play it on 360, but even if I had it for computer, I wouldn't mod anything other than the UI.
Well, I know the feeling. I sometimes play Oblivion unmodded. It somehow feels like a more pure experience when it's not cluttered by mods. Still, Midas Magic is not a minus.

I don't have it yet but I just read this on IGN:
The only downside of the PC version is the interface, which is elaborately presented and a breeze to use on consoles, but is inefficiently laid out for keyboard and mouse controls. To cut down on time spent in menus with both versions you can assign almost anything ? armor, weapons, spells, shouts, pieces of meat ? as a favorite. This menu can then quickly be brought up during a fight, pausing the action, so you swiftly adjust to the changing nature of a battle without having to page through the main menu system, though on PC an option to also bind items and spells to number keys would have been appreciated.

I facepalmed when I read that. Someone needs to mod in item/spell binding to the number keys right away. You just don't make a PC RPG without that.
lolwut? The number keys are a ***** to use. Garry's Mod uses them to control player-made machines, and in over 400 hours of building such things in Gmod I have never once liked that scheme. I can't imagine why you would want to do that.

Now if you mean the number keys above the letters than disregard this :p. Though I will say half of them are somewhat awkward to get to as well, 6-0 to be specific.
Yeah I mean the ones above the letters, not the numpad. I agree that 6-0 aren't particularly convenient, but they're more convenient than navigating through a menu. And even just having 1-5 allows a lot of fast item/spell changing.
