Going through my iTunes list today, I noticed that I have Colors of the Wind on there three times (Judy Kuhn, Vanessa Williams, and Vanessa Hudgens). So I started to search to see what other songs I had multiples of. Naturally, just about everything from the soundtrack to Across the Universe was repeated, but the overall winner was Desperado, with tracks by The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, The Carpenters, Kenny Rogers, and Neil Diamond. So who else has the same song a bunch of times, and what tops your list?

I never have multiples. Ever. I've made sure of that.
Not even alternate versions of a song?

OT:I have no idea I don't keep track, if I had to guess probably Vampire Killer and Bloody Tears from Castlevania, I have a lot of versions of both of those songs, and in various of them they are mashed together into one.
I just really like Castlevania, though I haven't played a few of the more popular ones, but my favourites are the first one and Dracula X[footnote]Vampire's Kiss for Europe[/footnote], but all of them have great music, also the Music box version of Vampire Killer in Lords of Shadow is amazing.

Nope. Reason being I personally hunt down every song I want in my Ipod. I don't blanket-import disks. If there's a different version of a song (See: Gavin's extended Sovngarde song) I listen to both and put in the one I like best.

Sure it takes more time, but I get songs I actually listen to instead of the standard, "skip skip skip skip aha!"

Tyr's 'Hail to the Hammer'

They've redone it for 2 other albums, tinkering with it each time.

I actually don't skip anything on my list, unless it is a mood song that I happen to not be in the mood for. All of the songs in there are because I enjoy that version of the song in question. Just because one (Rondstadt for Desperado) is my favorite doesn't mean the others aren't worth listening to.

I currently have multiple versions of "Brazil" (Aquarela do Brazil), "Love Hurts", and "Dream a Little Dream of Me", and "Sway".

Fair enough, though I'm a fan of having very different versions of the same song, it's why I love OC Remix, but yeah I can see why someone would do that.

I have three versions of Reach Out to the Truth on my iTunes.

Classic:

Instramental:

P4A Edition:

I also duplicated bits of the Gurren Lagann soundtrack just to increase the probability of it coming up in my LoL playlist. Pulling off an epic comeback teamfight is made 200% more awesome by the TTGL soundtrack as anyone who has watched the anime will tell you. Especially if it's one of those fights that takes your team from "fucked" to "My god we actually can win this!"

"Teemo, just who the hell do you think I am!? Screw your shroomfields and kick your Blinding Dart to the curb. That's the way Irelia with Merc Treads rolls!"

Personally I prefer Jennifer Saunders' cover.
Shrek 2 was such an awesome movie!!

Just a handful of Iced Earth songs with different lead singers and slightly better production.

The Police.
They crop up on every 80s various album, I have their normal albums and then I have their greatest hits. It's hard not to put my Ipod on Shuffle and not hear Sting...

No repeated songs (aside from covers and remixes) but I do tend to download every single song from the artist if I like their work. Deadmau5, Jimi Hendrix, Counting Crows, Arctic Monkeys etc.

These are the songs I have with the most versions... for some reason! :p (Well... it's because I bought the singles, and they had 11 versions on each! :S)

Song I have the most of the same version... (9)]This is because this song is on EVERY punk compilation... along with God Save the Queen or Anarchy in the UK... I have 6 each of them... :S Damn the sex pistols only having 3 proper hits... although to their due, EMI was on one compilation I have! :p

I've got about four different version of deamau5's "Ghosts n stuff." Strangely enough, only one of them is a remix.

Before loosing all of my music, I used to have instances where a song would be in my playlist a fair few times... Due to the fact that I'd have the album version, the single version, the instrumental, etc, etc... not to mention different versions of remixes or sometimes even live sessions or concerts.

Does it count with multiple versions being on the same disc? If so, I have Reach Out to the Truth in vocal and instrumental versions on my copy of the soundtrack disc that comes with Persona 4. All I can say is at least they aren't right next to each other on the track list.

I don't have mutliples of any songs, but my dad's iPod is filled with at least 4 versions of every Pink Floyd song ever made.
