I'm rather pale, I read a lot of graphic novels (stuff like Sandman, and The Walking Dead), I've seen all the iconic sci-fi shows, my friends and I speak in reference's, and my social skills are sub-par. Proud to be a geek.

Does that make me insane, or an insanely balanced person? ;O
Well, insanity is just defined (or characterized) as abnormal mental or behavioral patterns. The thing is it changes so much with societal norms. In America it is apparently the norm to have some sort of mental imbalance, so you are just insane.

Girl = i DO like dresses sometimes, but im not dieting, i like spiders and snakes
Really off topic but I forgot to feed my pet snake for like 3 and a half months and by the time I remembered he was like half the size 5 tones lighter...

Just thought I would throw that in there since I saw diet and snake in the same sentence...<.<

Pretty much the "Perverted, sex-obsessed teenage boy" stereotype.

I'm not ashamed of it, but many people tend to hate people like me...

I am a Trekkie who does not like the 2009 movie.

I don't get the problems with stereotypes they help us make decisions quicker. Yes that doesn't sound right, but I don't have time to get to know everyone I talk to. The way I see it you can use stereotypes to make quick decisions, but you cannot use them to do something that would require more extensive knowledge of the person: starting a conversation is a good use of stereotype; making and assumption about persons standings based on a stereotype is not.

One quick thing to all you gamers who say you have girlfriends. I like to point out that about 25% of all gamers are women. So only about half of all gamers are single.

I'm the typical awkward gamer who has trouble talking to people, especially women.

The deviation is that I am a woman... I never had a single female friend until I went to University.

i am the anti stereotype

i am white (polish/russian heritage) and i am tan year round just about, even though i live in nebraska

i listen to all music BUT country, i am a skinny built teen who runs/plays soccer in any free time i can spare, i eat more than my 2 football roommates combined but they easily weigh twice my weight.

for my gamer side, i dont have any zits hardly ever, i wear preppy ish clothes one day, ill wear my pc/gamer shirts the next, then ill wear my all black then next, like i said i am not pale in any possible way, i absolutely love working on my custom pc i built and i love video games like the plague loves killing people(and i mean all types, from yoshi and kingdom hearts to cod and neverwinter nights).

i also love cartoons and i hate vodka (i seriously dont get how im russian?)

I am a catholic by tradition, however i am just a christian in general, i dont go to church, and i dont believe in adam and eve, a good 95% of my friends are atheist however, and i absolutely hate pro religion nut jobs.

if i am a stereotype go ahead and point it out, i'd like to be able to make fun of myself at least once this week.

if you were talking about stereotypes that i notice on the street i could list those for days upon days...

My stereotype: Lives in an igloo, is an idiot like Sarah Palin, rides polar bears to the super market, plays video games on a oil powered TV, and is an eskimo.

In reality: I am none of those things. Alaska is nothing like that and anyone who judges Alaskans based on their opinion of Sarah Palin is an idiot. For playing video games... I fit none of those. For being in sports...I fit none of those. Damn what stereotype do I belong to!?!

I'm white with a good work ethic. As a gamer, Im somewhat antisocial but in good shape. Then again, I've always been quiet and medium built. People always come to me and ask me computer questions because I wear glasses and therefore must be a geek.. of course being on this site using my iphone kinda validates that.

As my badge says, I'm a "geek to the core" who is very awkward in social situations (especially with women).

I'm also an easygoing Brazilian who never does today what he can leave for tomorrow (kinda like Disney's José Carioca, actually).

Not to mention you can tell I love rock'N'roll if you see me a mile away, even though I rarely wear black. That probably has something to do with my long hair combined with my baldness...
