Everyone outside of Britain has their stereotypes on what we in Britain are all like. For example if someone mentions Britain, what do you think of?
The stereotypes I frequently hear are that we are posh, drink tea and live in a country where it always rains.

Bookmarked to see what the world thinks of us.
I imagine it's all tea, rain, warm beer, top hats etc.

But warm beer is nice! Not lager but bitter or stout is.

People always used to yell "GO EAT SOME CRUMPETS" at me on XBL. Not sure why. I don't even like the bloody things.

In a lot of movies and games if there is only one guy with a British accent there is a good chance he is the bad guy.

Warm beer, bad teeth.

I cannot understand a fucking word you're saying when either of us is drunk. I'm sure the opposite is true.

I think of either a tee drinking fancy pants or a drunk Scottish guy.

I find the easiest way to properly imitate a British stereotype is to add "yeah?" at the end of every sentence, in the same way I do for "eh?" as a Canadian.

I remember that this "diversity officer" in my school's CS&E department asked me what nationality my last name was. When I told him it was Welsh he said I was too tall to be a Welsh person. So there's a stereotype. Also someone on my floor kept implying that I like to give it rough to wooly farm animals. I'm not really that Welsh anyway. It's just a family name.

"Do you like to have tea and crumpets with the Queen and 'Arry Potter?"
That's what Americans on XBL usually say when they find out I'm British. That and some stuff about the war.

Really bad teeth, hats, tea and biscuits, silly walks (probably the best thing to ever come out of brittain) and a society where everyone is in love with the queen.

I'm British (English specifically) but I don't like tea or crumpets. Is there something wrong with me? o_O
