What take away do you eat at? What do you think of Mcdonalds?

I have a general dislike for fast food, McDonalds takes the cake for me though as the peak of bland, mediocre food. Added to that, I live in a smaller community where we generally don't have such establishments around, so they're all a solid half hour away, robbing them of any convenience they may have.

Take out/away in general, I like pizza and pasta from my local Italian restaurants (Including one that only does take out for a few people, my family included). I get Chinese food from time to time (But I often prefer to make it myself). For fast food I only really go to In and Out (It's a California thing, but it's SO GOOD).

Mcdonald's is alright as long as you avoid the beefburgers. The chicken stuff's really nice, though. If I'm in MK, I'll usually go to Yo! Sushi if I've got the money, but one time I somehow managed to spend £50 in there, so if not, I'll go to mcd's.

Mainly I eat Chinese takeaways, McDonalds, pizza, and when I'm in Japan, convenience store food.
I'd say convenience store food is my favourite, simply because there is a lot of variety there, but I love McDonalds. Always have. I've lived in three different countries and I love it as much in all of them. KFC, however, is best in Australia (can't recommend the Japanese stuff, and the British stuff is OK).

Personally, I can't stand the taste of McDonalds food. McCafe is okay, but I do my best to avoid plastic food. As a kid, I was pretty ambivalent towards Maccas, but never ate it because of food allegories. But then I heard about a story where a third grade class, I think here in Australia, did an experiment where they got a totally home-made burger and one from McDonalds and put them in a glass case. Within three days, the home-made one was completely inedible, but the McDonalds one still looked and smelled fine. Then, the glass case was put somewhere and forgotten. Over six months later, at the end of the year, the classroom was being cleaned out and they found the case with the burger in it. It still looked and smelled exactly like it had the day it had been bought. Can you imagine how many chemicals are in those burgers? The whole thing swore me off all McDonalds food for life.
it was in the american documentary 'supersize me' actually, and it only took the mcdonalds burger like three weeks or whatever to start decomposing, not 6 months.

I prefer Wendy's, I'll eat at Burger King if I'm really hungry and can't wait but I will never eat at McDonald's. The food at McDonald's is crap.

Well it tastes great in New Zealand but maybe thats just me (mind you each country sources it's ingredients differently). I do however prefer Indian or Thai or something foreign. Or fish and chips.

We don't do take-out or fast food often.

I think Subway is my favorite, they're far from the best subs I've eaten but they're at least descent; I also like the variety. The supermarket has a subplace which used to be excellent but they recently removed corned beef from their menu and I haven't been back since. Really, you're in a supermarket, they slice corned beef thirty feet away from the subshop, why remove it from the menu?

McDonalds has some options that aren't too bad, but unless I need to eat and drive I'd rather get a sub. The new angus burgers are better than the normal ones, if only because they aren't so skimpy. Wendy's has better burgers in my opinion, but its been a while since I've been there.

On the rare times we do take-out there is a wonderful Chinese place near us, but my wife can't have MSG which limits this option even further. Occasionally we order pizza delivery but I'm not a fan of our options.

I love McDonalds, sure it's bad for me and poor quality but I sure love the taste.
Me too, I can't quite understand people who hate the taste of fast-food. I only go to any fast-food place about once a month at the most so I doubt there'll be any health downsides, I'm already at thin as anything.
It's not that I hate the taste. It's the lack of taste; most burgers only taste pickels(or cucumber or whatever they're called in english).
Edit: Oh except Cheeseburgers, they taste ketchup and something else I'm not sure of.

I've stopped eating there tho' because my stomach just can't take that kind of food anymore.
Not that I eat fast food alot or anything, because I don't. It's just that I get a really bad stomach after eating their "food" but not at other places.

Edit:
To answer the "what you eat"-question; I eat at Corner or Åhmans(which is a local resturant).

I like McDonald's. I'd rather have Five Guys if I'm going to eat fast food, but McDonald's is tasty enough on its own. Incidentally, Five guys is a diner that thinks it's fast food, while Sonic is fast food that thinks it's a diner. The quality and price of the food match up pretty well to those two paradigms.

As for my favorite takeout, it's this place called Gumby's Pizza, which is in walking distance of my university. The pizzas are real, made from scratch pizzeria pizza, but they're priced in line with the big chain places -- a large cheese pizza is $5, toppings are something like $1 each, and you can get a large pizza with as many toppings as you want for a $10 flat fee. They also have what they call pokey sticks (basically a medium pizza made out of bread sticks) for $3, which includes a container of sauce for dipping. It. Is. Amazing. I would list a Chinese place as well, but all of the good Chinese places in the state seem to have gone out of business in the last 10 years or so. The best Chinese you can get is the generic stuff in a mall food court. The next time I go to a major city, I am absolutely going to hit up its Chinatown. Unfortunately, that's going to involve going out of state; neither Miami nor Tampa have a Chinatown.

McDonald's always smell like sweat and extremely greasy food, and it's disgusting, so i avoid that place at all cost. It's really expensive too, i don't know whether that's just here or everywhere.
I like KFC though, but i don't go there too often, maybe once in a few months.

I like their free ice and on some level, how familiar, mechanical, constant, and relatively impersonal it is. Really. I just think they're kind of evil. I used to work there for 1-2 years and all the false advertising, hypocrisy, and unhealthiness made me irate and I never ate their food during my lunch break even though it was half price for me.

As for other takeaway it's pretty much always sushi, Indian, or something from the grocery store because I'm lazy (if that counts as takeaway if you're eating it right away?). The other day I was actually considering buying 1/4th of a watermelon and eating it with a spoon but I cbf finding somewhere with free spoons and I didn't want to just be like "omnomnomnom watermelon" walking down the street, so I bought mandarin juice and went in search of a straw, and I felt guilty stealing their straws not being a customer so I bought sushi. So yeah, McDonalds is completely unnecessary unless you're on a highway in the middle of nowhere and starving, or something like that, or are poor and have calculated that your caloric and basic nutritional needs can be met easiest with McDonalds.

The takeaway that I like best and tend to eat most regularly (most regularly for me being like every couple of months or so) is KFC, to me it just seems to taste the best, as for McDonalds, I can't stand the place I have never liked eating there. As a kid, the burger place we would go to, the rare times we went to places like that, was Burger King. I don't eat there that much any more (the last time I went was last year I think) but I find it better than McDonalds.

Yeah, can't stand MacDonalds but then again I'm vegetarian. I live in Australia and two places I eat at are Oporto and Grill'd. They're both great places for a burger (and actually have good vego burgers too). Also you can't go past your local fish 'n' chips shop. Plus pizza, domino's or pizza hut depending when I am/what time it is (which is open)

When broke, McDonald's can fill the void. Otherwise, when getting "fast" food, I prefer Five Guys' Burgers and Fries, or some General Tso's chicken.

I can only eat McDonalds when I desperately need food. I prefer home cooked meals or Del Taco since neither of those make me sick.

Mcdo's burgers are too small. BK are nice and big, but Mcdo's fries are better. Mcdo's breakfast are good, especially the epic pancakes.
ofc KFC is awesome, especially if you go late so you get it straight out of the fryer.
Subway is merely decent cos of the prices.
Never been to pret-a-manger.

My favorite fast food place is Whataburger. As for McDonald's I do not like it and neither do my bowels.
