Suggestion to OP:

Stop whining. This has been posted. Remember Extra Credits? They talked about this sort of thing. (Go check out their videos if not)

Next, if you do not like something, learn to get used to it. This sort of thing will continue because large game-publishers do not realize that Non-Gamers do not want to go in and play Battlefield 3. They want something casual first.

Petition EA saying stop with this. Start one. Do something other than complain. Otherwise, you have no purpose other than to just sit there pouting.
While I don't know if EA will every read this particular thread they certainly do pay people to go through the internet looking for referncece to them and see if they are generally positive or generally negative. Pretty much every company does.

So complaining about EA on a forum does actually do something. And if there are been 5 thread at escapist on their commercials that have be high activity and generally negative. There is a chance that will come up in their general report.

***BTW*** in case you don't believe it. This is a serious and real thing. You can be paid to surf the web all day searching for mentions of companies, reading and rating them and companies pay other companies serious money for the data. (However I think you probably get crap money for actually being a researcher of this type)

Take a look at this kind of advertising. Let it sink in for a moment. Imagine the kind of person who buys a game based on this stuff. Try and visualise them. The way they look, the way they act, the things they do in their house when they're alone.

Now stop.

This is who EA thinks you are.
This is what EA thinks you like.
This is what EA believes you want to spend your money on.
Very Good argument, one little flaw:
EA doesn't think.

Honestly though, the PR departement knows what it's doing and they do the thinking. While we could argue about an anally gang raping them and all the other "tossers" who are resposible for publishing crappy games the game will sell very well and people will buy it nonetheless.
Just stop watching comericals that hurt your brain or take it one step further and stop buying such games.

I personally doubt that if they can't get me to like their commercial (the one big super hype of their product) I won't like the product one bit.
