Now that you mention it something weird like that did happen to me. The whole website got dimmed out for some reason, I assumed it was some webpage loading glitch, reloaded the page and it went away, then didn't think anything more of it until now.

Same happened to me. And I would blame Kross, but I've seen the kind of chaos and destruction that is his magic before, so I'll blame the newly re-banhammered Zeel for leaving a ghost in the machine of The Escapist servers.

All I got was a garbled page that left when I refreshed it. Maybe it did not like the scripts I'm running in the browser?

I couldn't see the whole thing, because I run the forum in a small window. I figured that whatever was darkening my screen was a Kross April Fool's gag... I'm kind of glad I didn't see the whole thing.

Yep it happened to me 4 times yesterday while using the forums, pretty much matches the description the op gave. I presumed it was my first taste of the moderators legendary shenanigans I had read so much about.

The next question is should I go press the button. I get a badge for pressing it after all, hmmmm decisions.
