I live in Tennessee and people were freaking about the think. Then the whole Bull Sh*t with Ms. California (Or whoever) came around and I never heard about it again. Aren't we all supposed to be dead by now?
Uh...no. Swine flu is unpleasant, but isn't going to kill you unless you are very old/ill already. But I see what you mean, news on it has died down lately.
If I can recall, the U.S. was able to contain it and prevent breakouts. While Europe and the other continents prevented more outbreaks via strict hygiene and travel laws.
Well, it was really blown out of proportion (possibly as a means to distract us from the economy or something along those lines). At this point the swine flu has started to die down and now the media has fewer reasons to cover it.
it was a overestimated version of a normal flu, just a little more powerful. those people who died because of it had a weak immune-defense (small kids, old people, people with chronical diseases).
Just as I predicted, either the media stopped getting ratings with it, or; people realized it's not that bad. People need to stop freaking out at "epidemics", it just makes the media want to make more giant scares based on nothing.
It never was a big deal. Funny as hell to watch others panic. Loved to see what would happen if there ever was a relay deadly virus to spread relay quick.
