I only heard it once so it is sticking very vaguely in my mind. Anyone who frequents the radio often should know.
The radio has a lot of stations on it, there's a pretty good chance you're listening to a different station than other people :p

Do you remember the tune? Unless you learn a musical notation and write it down or something, we have nothing to go on whatsoever :/

Actually I think he's referring to the fact that it's generally easy to forget what a song in the radio sounded like.

But yeah, if it isn't my previous suggestion, we need more clues. And anything helps.
Just a single line or even words from the song would be huge...
Were the voices low/high?
males/females?
Americans, ethnicity?
Was the tempo fast, slow?
Did the song have a basic pop song verse-chorus-verse structure?
Did it sound digital, acoustic, distorted?
Anything?

And if it's a rap song, then you can describe the flow, delivery, rhyming patterns, beat...

The original post is so vague that it's annoying. There's no way that's all you remember from it.

My dad has an app on his Droid that can tell which song is playing when you open the app and hold it next to the audio device that's playing the song.

Anyway, you're way too vague, I have no clue.

Billionaire - Travie McCoy ft. Bruno Mars?

Rips off a song called Santeria by Sublime.

If that's not it. I give up.
YES. I keep telling people this and no one agrees with me.

As for the song in question, I've not listened to the radio in about five years, but for some reason The Message by Grandmaster Flash came into my head because it was in an advert that sounds a bit like like what you described.

It might be Jason Derulo's "Whatcha Say". It samples "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap. Or it could be "Right Round" by Flo Rida.

This is a total shot in the dark. Hop ahead to 20 seconds.

I'm pretty sure there's a more recent version of this song on the radio, but I'm wondering if this is the background beat you're talking about?

And if so - the sampled song is "Boadicea" by Enya.

Is it played in Clubs/Does it go Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo?
If so it might be Darude - Sandstorm.
