What the HELL is this game called?

I was chatting to my brother last night about old games we remembered and we got talking about a game that he got one christmas from a rarely seen relative.

The game was set in a world completely made of clay with a weird looking main character who (if memory serves) was part purple, part white and had eyes of different sizes.

The gameplay mostly consisted of classic point and click but with very little dialogue or exposition.

I keep thinking it was called Oddworld but obviously, that's a totally different game, but I feel it is something similar to this.

Any ideas anyone? Anyone ever come across it or played it?

According to Wikipedia it only sold 42,000 copies...if you've still got it you should hold onto it...

just recently catalogued evertyhing i had and i do have the original CD but the huge box might be gone. when is software ever worth anything anyway

Neverhood was out when I was like 2, but I had taken a look at it a while back. According to Wikipedia, his name is in fact Klaymen. We were both wrong.

Now if only steam would re-release it...
